After rising from bed 15 minutes later, she felt fully rejuvenated and returned to her normal state. She took a shower, standing under the hot water to relish the sensation, feeling utterly relaxed and confident that nothing would disturb her tranquilly. I sincerely wish this room included a bathtub. It would be delightful to recline in the warm water; I could remain there for at least an hour.
Breakfast was consumed in the pack-house dining room shortly after 8 AM, providing an opportunity to observe the Alpha and Beta firsthand, as she had come equipped with her cards. She approached each individual sequentially, introducing herself and presenting her card to their Betas, aware that she should not attempt to give anything directly to the Alpha. Had she been a ranked member, she could have done so; however, she was not.
Descended and relished her breakfast. She found herself seated with several friends from the previous night, all exhibiting smiles and happiness. “Did you enjoy yourself?”She provoked them playfully.
“Affirmative,” they all chuckled.
Daisy merely shook her head at them as they meandered away after breakfast, proceeding to the lake for a morning swim before venturing into the town centre, which featured a modest mall. She collected additional clothing items, reviewed her bank balance, and nearly dropped her phone upon discovering over $100,000; she was perplexed about the source of this sum. She verified the deposit, which was associated with the package. Bit her lip briefly. Only Caelan or Alpha Ronan could potentially authorise that sum of money.
She was aware that Caelan would be occupied throughout the day, as would Mason, who communicated this to Alpha Ronan via mind link.
The boy compensated you appropriately. At last.
“Compensated me?” For what purpose?Daisy enquired.
He violated your employment contract and your art exhibition agreements. I calculated the total amount you would have earned and documented his breach of contract, necessitating the pack to compensate you.
Daisy remained stationary, somewhat bewildered, yet she surmised it was logical, as she had not violated her contract.
Thank you, Alpha Ronan.
“It is acceptable, Daisy.” I enjoyed placing my foolish boy in his subordinate position.
She snorted and subsequently apologised, recognising that Alpha Ronan would have overheard her.
It is acceptable, Daisy; I have always held affection for you. I am pleased you are present; in fact, it may help to bring my foolish son to his senses.
I am unable to assist you with that matter.
“We shall see,” he appeared quite pleased with asserting dominance over Caelan.
She shopped and purchased numerous new garments.
She possessed few belongings, merely those contained in her carry-on: half a dozen outfits and the dress she had received from Micah Garcia. She returned to her room, organised everything, hung it up, and smiled at them. Content with her selections, featuring an array of attractive colours: blues, pinks, greens, yellows, and whites. Dresses, blouses, and skirts. She successfully acquired a soft grey silk, knee-length, open-backed dress featuring a small lace collar and lace extending from it to her hips on both sides of her back, a charming halterneck design.
She tried it on, and it complemented her; all her friends urged her to purchase it, as it also matched her accessories. One of her friends, Julie, observed her moons, tilted her head slightly, then merely smiled and shook her head. No elucidation was provided regarding her response to it. Daisy intended to wear it for the upcoming Mating Ball scheduled in a few weeks. She planned to attend it. Lydia extended an invitation to her.
Daisy descended the stairs for lunch and observed Caelan engaged in a minor altercation with a Beta. It appeared that his younger sister Addison had probably discovered her Mate, at which point Caelan ascended the stairs.
As she descended, he noticed her and growled menacingly, whether it was him or Hudson remained uncertain. She merely sighed, turned, and ascended the stairs to return to her room. She understood the implication of that snarl. Indeed, she had observed all the Alphas and Betas reclining below as she descended the stairs.
She was unperturbed; she had no intention of engaging in a casual encounter or attracting any of them.
It was evident that it troubled him. She was unaware, although she knew he had previously been quite discontent with her proximity to other Alpha males, a sentiment stemming from their Mate Bond and Hudson’s possessiveness regarding Amelia. The man and his wolf appeared to be deranged. They possessed a Mate, thus the reason for his or his wolf’s annoyance remained enigmatic.
Remaining in this situation was becoming increasingly untenable; if the man could not relinquish the past or resolve his issues regarding her, she might have to act independently to depart and seek another pack willing to accept her. She would likely need to align with an allied pack, as she was uncertain about trusting a non-allied pack. An allied pack would at least recognise her identity, thereby increasing the likelihood of her acceptance. The inquiry was whether they would contact Caelan. Convey the message to him. She negated with a shake of her head.
She had not been present long enough to ascertain whether she could remain here. I simply needed to acclimatize to rejoining the group. It appeared thus. Did he need to acclimatize to her presence? He probably despised observing her, cognisant of their past and his feelings for her during her previous presence.
Caelan entered her room shortly thereafter; having knocked but not awaiting a response, he proceeded inside as if he possessed the space. That realisation halted her; he indeed possessed this room. Regardless of her location, he could enter the entire pack without knocking if he desired.
