“Stella, there are specific protocols for admitting individuals to the Wood Industries Gated Community.” Carlos has not followed any of them, to my knowledge. He is expected to wait for the full moon, then formally ask you out, engage in traditional dating activities such as dinners and films, and subsequently introduce you to his parents and Ryder. Extend an invitation for you to reside at their residence and assess your preferences before proceeding further. Typically requires 1 to 2 months, contingent upon the relationship and your advancement.
“Oh, so I am similar to.”
Carlos is hastening all proceedings, but you are satisfactory. I presume his supervisor is dissatisfied with his conduct; however, you are not at fault, and no one will attribute blame to you.
“He has already discussed the prospect of marriage,” she replied, shaking her head. “I informed him that it was premature; he sulked directly at me and then.”
“Sufficient.” Brianna shook her head. “I can easily envision how he attempted to manipulate you.” She had detected Carlos’s scent on Stella, having seduced her or attempted to do so to achieve his objectives.
“He is quite peculiar, Brianna.”
“Hmm, exclusively to you. Based on my observations, it is customary in my place of origin. “That is simply the situation…he is now your eccentric,” she said with a faint smile. “Will you be residing in our suite?””
Observed Stella affirmatively nod.
“I prefer that he not remain in this room overnight.”
Observed Stella laughing, “I am agreeable to that.”
Brianna shook her head, indicating that he may not be. It was highly improbable that Carlos would desire to sleep alone in bed while his mate was in the same building. The man evidently could not restrain himself in any capacity.
Brianna’s Perspective
At 6 PM, a brief, abrupt knock resonated at the door. She inhaled deeply. Logan genuinely desired her to dine with his father. He had articulated it approximately an hour prior; his words were softly uttered, yet she recognised their significance to him. Consequently, she rose and approached the door to respond.
Brianna chose not to change her attire, as she consistently dressed well, and she refused to enhance her appearance for this man. She was not attending because she and Layla desired to go. She was departing due to Logan. Stella attempted to persuade her to don one of her recently acquired dresses.
Brianna raised an eyebrow and remarked bluntly, “It’s not that type of dinner.”
Stella, however, appeared unconvinced, leading her to ponder whether Carlos had requested her to persuade him to don something elegant.
They engaged in reciprocal texting throughout the afternoon.
Logan was seated on the lounge with Stella. He and Stella had already dined, both seemingly famished by 1700. They had ordered room service and were now simply relaxing together while watching television.
She had already informed Logan that her absence would likely be brief, as she was merely going to dinner to ascertain Ryder’s intentions, and she would return home once she had that information; he had simply nodded in response. She was uncertain about the intentions of the boy and his wolf regarding this meeting. They had not expressed anything thus far. They did not provide her with any questions to pose to the man.
Enzo stood on the opposite side of the door; unsurprisingly, he had been the one to invite her to dinner and had also indicated that he would be the one to retrieve her. He smiled at her and nodded in acknowledgement, briefly surveying her attire; she observed the subtle frown as she closed the door behind her.
“Unhappy Enzo, that I did not attire myself for your Alpha,” she remarked in a monotonous tone, observing his frown intensify immediately. “He is fortunate I possess any respectable garments at all; I am a rogue, you know.” Few individuals of that status possess luxurious items.
“Hmm.” “I concede, and you may refer to me as Enzo, Brianna,” he stated while pressing the lift button.
“I likely could,” she conceded.
“Could you temper your attitude slightly?”“He articulated with composure.”
“Would you kindly leave?”She responded and perceived his sigh, yet he remained silent thereafter.
Escorted her to room 1008 and granted her access, but he did not enter. She scowled at him; he remained silent as she walked past, observing Luca exiting the room as well.
Luca remarked, “Try to enjoy your dinner, Brianna,” as he passed her and subsequently closed the door.
This left her solely with Carlos and Ryder. The man was standing by the table where they had lunched. He had transitioned from his jeans and short-sleeved button-up shirt to a dark charcoal grey suit, complemented by a pristine white dress shirt beneath the jacket. She observed that his hair was almost slicked back, and he appeared to have shaved, with not a trace of five o’clock shadow on his face.
