“Henry.” Olivia clung to Scott Henry with a provocative smile. “I’ve been shopping all day, and my feet hurt so much. Can you massage them for me?”
Scott Henry hesitated but eventually began massaging her feet.
Olivia’s lips curled coldly as she tapped her fingers and laughed. “Sophia, why are you still clinging to the Scott family and refusing to leave? How shameless can you be! Dragging out the divorce on purpose—are you reluctant to give up the title of Mrs. Scott?”
Sophia smiled. “Do you think your provoking words will make me step aside? Let me give you two words—no way!”
“You…” Olivia’s body trembled with anger. “You’re so shameless!”
“Yes, yes! I’m shameless. Whatever you say is right, ma’am!” Sophia’s mocking tone made Olivia even angrier.
Lately, Olivia hadn’t been having a good time either. After terminating her contract, not a single company approached her. It gave her an ominous feeling. Despite her modest fame and her status as the future Mrs. Scott, online backlash had been relentless, with people demanding she leave the entertainment industry. Companies were hesitant to invest in her, unsure if she was worth it.
Without work, Olivia was panicked. Scott Henry had promised to take care of her, but how much pocket money could he possibly have each month? Now that she was pregnant and her reputation in tatters, if she couldn’t marry Scott Henry, her future looked bleak.
What frustrated her most was that Sophia clung to the Scott family like a piece of gum.
No matter how much she insulted her, Sophia wouldn’t leave!
Desperation gnawed at Olivia. She had told the media several times that good news was imminent, but Scott Henry was still legally married. If her child was born before their marriage, she would be a laughingstock.
No! She couldn’t let that happen. Sophia had to be driven out.
Grinding her teeth, Olivia snapped, “Sophia, what’s the point of this? Your husband doesn’t even love you. He’s disgusted to touch you, yet you cling to the Scott family like a shameless woman. Aren’t you embarrassed to be the laughingstock of everyone?”
She expected Sophia to get angry, but instead, Sophia chuckled.
“What are you laughing at?” Olivia frowned.
Sophia looked at Scott Henry and shook her head.
“Olivia, don’t speak too soon. You claim my husband finds me disgusting? I wonder, then, who sneaks into my room in the middle of the night, trying to assault me. Honestly, a man like Scott Henry is nothing more than secondhand trash. Only someone like you, a garbage disposal, would take him. If I really wanted him, you wouldn’t even stand a chance.”
Yawning, Sophia stood up and smirked. “As for your dreams of becoming Mrs. Scott, let me give you some advice: don’t celebrate too early. Once you’re officially married, your title as ‘the wife’ will come with its own problems. Trust me, the same swarm of men who chased after me will come after you too. My present will be your future. Let’s see who has the last laugh!”
With that, she grabbed her bag and walked off with a smile.
Behind her, Olivia trembled with rage, tears streaming down her face as she turned to Scott Henry.
“How could you do such a thing behind my back? How could you betray me and the child I’m carrying?”
Olivia rarely cried, and Scott Henry, already feeling guilty, panicked.
“Olivia, don’t get upset! You’re pregnant, and stressing out is bad for the baby!”
Olivia was genuinely heartbroken. She had always believed Scott Henry loved her, but now she realized he was no different from other men.
Sophia’s words sent a chill down her spine.
This couldn’t drag on any longer!
Through her tears, Olivia said, “You need to divorce her immediately! I don’t care how much money she wants—give it to her! I need to see that divorce finalized right now, and I’m moving into the Scott family mansion tonight!”
Scott Henry was stunned. This wasn’t a decision he could make.
“Olivia, I’ve already told you, my family needs a medical formula that Sophia has. Without it, our lawyers would’ve kicked her out long ago. Even if we went to court for a divorce, she’d get nothing because I don’t own any assets. But that formula is critical, and we can’t afford to make her an enemy right now.”
Olivia cried even harder. “I don’t care! You have to divorce her immediately! And I’m moving in tonight!”
Scott Henry stood frozen, unable to say a word for a long time.
