Alpha’s Betrayal – Chapter 31

Many moments

“You will reside here with me, in this room,” he stated, interpreting her shocked expression. It was evident that she had misinterpreted his arrangement of an alternative room for her.

“However…” Talia’s voice faltered as she constructed her argument. Individuals would express scepticism if Luna did not remain with Alpha. Nevertheless, she had been instructed to stay alone with the perilous Alpha.

“Would you like to express something?” Jason arched his eyebrows in a defiant manner.

Talia opted not to agitate him.

“I will have dinner delivered,” he declared, exiting the room.

“However, I informed you that I did not wish to eat!” She gritted her teeth as he persistently disregarded her. She would not succumb if she abstained from food for a day. The male would go to great lengths for a healthy puppy.

Jessica softly rapped on the open door for many moments, calling out, “Talia.” She held a dinner plate and smiled warmly upon observing Talia’s narrowed gaze, which accused the Beta female of forsaking her to him.

Jason left the room and proceeded to the living room, where the men awaited him. Upon Lucas’s arrival at the packhouse, he received a telepathic communication from his brother.

“What is her condition?” Lucas inquired.

“Diana undoubtedly cursed her, yet she did not utter a word to me regarding it,” Jason responded while seated among them.

“She seems to be a reserved yet astute woman.”  This revelation from Carter’s daughter is unexpected. Where has she departed?“ Lucas inquired.

“She is present in the room.”  Jason remarked, “I did not compel her to emerge, but I did provide her with sustenance.”

“It appears I will meet her tomorrow, but is she aware of the agreement you made with her father?” Lucas posed a question.

As Talia gathered her possessions from her room, Jason had Carter endorse documents before to the release of the Sardinia Moon Pack. He opted not to assume control of the territory. He permitted Carter to remain the Alpha of the Sardinia Moon Pack, although issued a final admonition.

Jason consistently monitored their actions; should they deviate even slightly, he would eliminate them all without hesitation. Although they remained adversaries, Talia had emerged as the intermediary between them.

“I refrained from informing her, yet I am confident she will ascertain the truth shortly,” Jason wearily dismissed the matter. He had a strong desire to eliminate Carter and Tony, but Talia’s words and desperation had disturbed his thoughts. This woman was influencing him in what he perceived to be a detrimental manner.

Jessica accompanied Talia for her meal. Talia discovered that Jessica had notified Lena, the Gamma female, of her arrival and that they would meet the following day. Talia felt relieved to see she was not the sole female in the packhouse.

Upon Jason’s return to his room, it was late at night. He had been conversing with Lucas over the Sardinia Moon Pack for an extended while. Talia witnessed him retrieving a fresh towel from the cabinet prior to entering the washroom to bathe.

Talia, having forgotten to inform Lena of her safe arrival at the Sothis Star Pack, stepped onto the balcony to make the call. Her sister and mother are likely apprehensive about her. Upon dialling the number, she recognised that her phone had powered down. She failed to charge her phone. Fortunately, she brought a charger and promptly connected her phone.

She inhaled deeply while reclining on the sofa. She was ensnared. She had no need to feign fear of Jason. The brutality she seen in the Sardinia Moon Pack was sufficient to dissuade her from his authority. Clearly, he would insist that she lie beside him, although the bed was quite spacious. She had determined to stay awake while he slumbered.

Upon exiting the toilet, Jason discovered her seated on the sofa. She resembled a rabbit, cognisant of a concealed lion. Her gaze was concentrated on his exposed, big chest. He emerged clad solely in a towel. Her cheeks reddened with warmth as she diverted her gaze. How could he have been so inept as to forget that she would be residing in his room?

“Do you wish to take a shower?” Jason enquired, one hand drying his hair with a towel. His inquiry pertained to her. Other female wolves at school had candidly shared their secrets. Prior to engaging in s****l intercourse with a female, a male typically requests that she shower.

I am well. “I do not require a shower,” she fabricated quickly. Jason would refrain from touching her due to her perspiration and uncleanliness.

“Indifferent.”  “I trust you realise that you will be sleeping on this bed,” Jason remarked, discarding his damp towel onto the floor. He surmised that she would opt to sleep on the sofa, having adhered herself to it. Talia averted her sight again as he donned attire suitable for the evening.

She refrained from requesting anything from him since it was his room; yet, why was he unable to change in his wardrobe? Prior to sitting on the bed, Jason reviewed his messages. He conducted his nighttime routine as though she were absent.

Talia positioned her bags adjacent to the wardrobe and rested on the secure side of the bed. Despite perspiring, she enveloped herself in the blanket as a shield and nestled up near the bed’s edge. If she shifted during her slumber, there was a significant likelihood she would fall from the bed.

Jason shook his head, fatigued. Her movements conveyed explicitly what was occurring in her mind. He reclined on the bed, extinguished the lights, and gazed at her once more.

His lupine gaze enabled him to monitor her attentively. This marked the inaugural occasion in two years when he shared his bed with another individual. It seems peculiar to him. Lamba’s mind churned; the nearby beauty exuded a delightful fragrance.
