Alpha’s Betrayal – Chapter 25

This is Talia

“Leo, you have the entire night to cherish your partner.”  “You may remain here, but I am departing,” Jason stated, inducing panic in Leo.

“Negative, Alpha.”  Please await my arrival. “I will accompany you,” he interrupted the kiss, whispering an apology into his mate’s ear while assuring the continuation of their earlier intimacy later that night. Regardless of his desires, he had to accompany Jason at that moment. He released Jessica and approached Jason and Talia.

“Alpha,” she inclined her head to Jason, then observed the young girl who had been observing them.

“Ah, we have a visitor.”  Who is she? Jessica scrutinised Talia from head to toe. Talia felt happy that she had donned an elegant attire prior to departing from the Sardinia Moon Pack.

Her garments were not pristine, yet they were neither worn nor torn, unlike those she had donned when she first encountered Jason.

“This is Talia, my Luna,” Jason introduced, but Jessica interjected with delight before he could conclude.

“Oh my goodness!”  Is that our Luna? She almost yelled as she approached her.

“How could you conceal this from me?” Jessica squinted at her partner.

“I aimed to surprise you,” Leo resolved to adopt a charming demeanour to mitigate his mate’s discontent, although she promptly dismissed his effort at charm.

I ought to have recognised that the Alpha intended to return our Luna. “She is exceedingly beautiful,” Jessica’s dark eyes sparkled with appreciation. Talia’s flush was prompted more by her scrutiny than by the compliment. Talia had never felt more beautiful in her life, despite Jessica’s excessive admiration.

She applied minimal makeup, her hair was rather dishevelled and loose, and in contrast to Talia’s attire, the Beta female donned costly garments, although her everyday ones. She possessed a large, pregnant abdomen.

“Luna, I am Jessica, Leo’s mate. You may refer to me as Jen,” she said with a smile, her eyes darting between Talia and Jason.

It is unsurprising that he sought to conceal this attractiveness from all. He would be required to respond to several enquiries. The Alpha exhibited a disinterested demeanour. He anticipated that his Betas and friends would subject him to taunting and ridicule.

“Jessica, I must depart immediately. I am entrusting her to your care. Could you escort her to the hotel and attend to dinner arrangements?”

“Of course, I can do that! Kindly refrain from concern. I will take care of our Luna,” she responded with zeal, knowing that she would soon be ready to fulfill her role as the Beta female. Her whole commitment was to the Luna the pack had lacked. yet with Talia’s appearance, Jessica finally felt her status in this pack had been established.

‘Let me know straight immediately if anything happens,’ , Jason mind linked Jessica before leaving the packhouse. Talia watched the Alpha and Beta walk away, wondering where they were heading at this hour in the evening.

“Umm,” Jessica’s throat cleared, grabbing Talia’s attention. “The Alpha will come back to you soon, Luna.”

“I didn’t say anything!”  Talia exclaimed in shock. Where had she gotten the wrong idea?

“Words are useless when your eyes speak,” she gave Talia a seductive grin.

“No! You have it all wrong,” she argued, but Jessica just laughed.

“Let us proceed.”  “Your room is upstairs,” Jessica stated as she picked up her luggage and ascended the steps, but Talia paused.

Greetings! Are you not pregnant? You are not obligated to transport my luggage. “I am capable,” she asserted, retrieving her luggage from Jessica’s hold before commencing her ascent.

“It is acceptable, Luna.”  “It is not burdensome, and as the female Beta, it is my duty to assist you,” Jessica asserted while attempting to get the bag.

Talia asserted with a smile, “It is my duty as the Luna to attend to my Beta’s health,” as she proceeded towards the chamber that Jessica had been guiding her to. Jessica discreetly esteemed Talia. She was taken aback by her own compassion. Jessica was more attracted to her character than her physical looks.

“This is the room,” Jessica stated as she opened the door. Talia halted after taking two steps upon realising she was in Jason’s room. The entire space was permeated by his enticing perfume.

“What was the reason for bringing me to the Alpha’s chamber?” She enquired anxiously.

“As the Luna, you will reside with the Alpha, correct?” Jessica emitted a soft chuckle.

Talia offered her a constrained smile. However, she was apprehensive about his reaction upon discovering that she had entered his room without his consent. He may have intended for her to occupy a different room.

“Luna…”

“Please refer to me as Talia,” she interjected to Jessica.

“I do not believe that is a prudent suggestion,” Jessica hesitated, chewing her lip. What would occur when Jason heard her utter Talia’s given name?

“Why not, when I am permitting you to?” Talia contended.

“Nevertheless….”

“You are approximately the same age as my sister, and I desire for us to become friends.”  Why not address one another by our names instead of titles? Talia proposed, “It will feel more comfortable,” which elicited a broad smile from Jessica upon realising that the Luna desired to be her friend.
