Caelan’s Perspective
Hearing Daisy express her admiration for Lydia and her belief that Lydia would make an excellent Luna irritated him. She may indeed do so, but not his. He was perplexed as to why she would disclose that information to him. She did not exhibit any signs of distress regarding the matter.
A different woman assumes her position beside him. It appears there is no semblance of jealousy whatsoever. Disturbed him significantly. If she had arrived here accompanied by a man, he would probably have reacted poorly.
She greeted Lydia with a wave and a smile, as if they were acquaintances. Lydia, he observed, had smiled and reciprocated the wave. Caelan frowned, questioning when they had spent time together to become so familiar. He was unaware, and he found it displeasing.
Mason interrupted his thoughts, stating, “I have selected a location for the Art Studio.” “Fortunately, I was present to assist her in making the decision.”
“What is the reason for that, Joe?””
Caelan observed his Beta recline in his chair and fixate on him, stating, “Because my friend.” The eastern border is visible from the pack-house.
Caelan scowled directly at him. Was the man under the influence of drugs? “Negative, you are unable to.”
“Indeed, you may, from my room.” MASON beamed at him, appearing quite pleased with himself.
“Was Daisy in your suite?”His gaze intensified upon the man.
“My bedroom, to be exact,” he smirked. “I enjoyed being in my room.” I found it pleasant.
Caelan desired to strike the man in the face but suppressed the impulse. “To what destination will it proceed?””
“I am uncertain whether I should disclose this information to you.” You are excessively irritable towards her.
Caelan observed Mason as he lifted his cup of coffee and took a sip. The obstinate individual would retain that information until the construction commenced, at which point he might address it in Caelan’s presence. The man was capable of concealing various secrets. “
What is your desire, Joe?He understood how to engage in this game with his Beta.
“To prevent you from raising your voice at her during your next conversation.” “Then I shall inform you,” he stated, gazing directly at Caelan, thoroughly entertained by his own demeanour.
“Is that all?”He was incredulous. There must have been a stipulation.
“Take small steps, Caelan,” he chuckled. “I believe you will appreciate the location I selected.”
“Will I be able to observe it from the pack-house?””
“I believe that was the condition,” he affirmed.
“Do not presume that I will refrain from striking you in the face, Joe.”
His Beta regarded him with indifference. “This would not be the first instance of conflict between you and me regarding Daisy, would it, Caelan?””
Caelan scowled; it would not be. Mason had engaged in multiple fistfights regarding her. Caelan understood that Mason’s protectiveness towards her was the underlying reason for his behaviour. Significant disparities of opinion regarding her. Only one situation had escalated uncontrollably, necessitating intervention from his father, Ronan, and Mason’s father, Jonathan, who had to separate the two before one could have fatally harmed the other. Both individuals were confined to their cells until they exhibited composure, a challenging task given that Daisy was hospitalised and near death.
Caelan had relinquished his hold; he had indeed released them all, and Mason had been correct on every occasion. Caelan had consistently been in a negative state, but during the most recent incident, he had unleashed all his anger and emotions, with Mason bearing the consequences, regrettably.
With no other outlet for his frustration, Caelan retaliated against Mason after being struck in the hospital, resulting in a tumultuous and aggressive confrontation between an Alpha and a Beta.
Nevertheless, they remained friends, continuing to socialise and coexist harmoniously. Their ability to physically confront one another, channelling their anger and frustrations through mutual aggression, may have contributed to their closeness. Caelan was not the most agreeable individual. In reality, he did not establish rapport with anyone. However, Mason was easygoing and maintained amicable relations with everyone.
“You shall inform me.”
“When I see you, treat the woman kindly.” Mason affirmed, “I will inform you.”
Caelan exhaled in irritation, “You are a significant nuisance to me.”
“I understand, yet you require me to be.”
Caelan was also aware that this was accurate. Mason was the sole individual in the entire pack who possessed comprehensive knowledge about him. Incorporating the events between him and Daisy, along with Caelan’s genuine feelings regarding the situation.
Caelan’s behaviour, he believed, was best elucidated by understanding the underlying reasons for it.
Lydia reseated herself. “Where has Daisy departed?”She sought Mason for the solution. She believed they were more than mere friends. This aligns with Caelan’s desires.
“Perhaps an early night in her room,” he suggested to her.
“Did you not wish to accompany her?”She provoked him playfully.
“No,” Mason stated succinctly. “I am going out for a while this evening, Caelan.”
Caelan nodded; the man was presumably en route to see Silvia, his present she-wolf.
“Shall we retire early?”Lydia gazed directly at him, and he comprehended her intent.
I have tasks to complete. Proceed if you desire.
“Caelan, please proceed.” she implored him.
