Dr. Sophia – Chapter 105

Safe

Thus, the car smoothly descended the mountain.

Then, a cyclist on the roadside overtook them.

After that, an elderly man walking briskly passed by and got ahead of them.

Finally, a pregnant woman out for a walk glanced back at their car.

Scott Livinus, with a black expression and unable to bear it any longer, gritted his teeth and said, “Stop the car!”

“Hmm?”

“I’m getting out to walk!” No one could tolerate having such a supercar driven at this speed!

“…”

After being mocked, Sophia, having finally gotten the hang of the car, sped up a bit, managing to go up to 40 km/h this time.

Just as she turned a corner, an elderly man with a scrap-collecting tricycle suddenly cut in front of them after running a red light. Sophia hadn’t noticed him in time, and her car’s front end almost collided with his tricycle. Fortunately, she braked just in time, but, unfortunately, the steel wire on the elderly man’s tricycle scratched against the car. Sophia only heard a scraping sound and felt like it was her money being scraped away.

Sophia froze for a moment. It was just as she had feared—the thing she dreaded most had happened.

“What should we do? Should I get out and check?”

“Drive on,” Scott Livinus said calmly, not even turning his head, just staring straight ahead.

“But the car…”

“Do you want the elderly man collecting scraps to compensate you for the car?”

“But I still need to get out and check. What if…?”

“Or do you want someone to record this, have it go viral in the news tomorrow, and then deal with a media interview?”

“…” Is this really how complicated the world of the wealthy is?

Sophia frowned, speechless. “Then, I’ll pay to have it repaired for you.”

Scott Livinus paused, a slight smirk in his mind.

It wasn’t about the money; it was just that this was the first time he’d let someone other than himself drive his car, and it ended up getting scratched.

She truly had a knack for this!

Finally reaching home, Sophia got out at the entrance and walked into the house with Scott Livinus following behind.

Unexpectedly, as soon as she opened the door, she saw Scott Henry sitting on her bed.

Scott Livinus, who was still outside, looked toward her.

Her expression clearly revealed that there was someone inside – was it Scott Henry?

Sophia hung her keys on the wall and said, “Who allowed you to come in?”

Scott Henry walked over and suddenly closed the door.

“Do I need someone’s permission to enter my own wife’s room?”

With that, he gave Sophia a strong pull and, with a smirk, said:

“The way you’re acting, it’s like I’m something disgusting you can’t wait to distance yourself from. Sophia, do you look down on me that much?”

Sophia frowned, “Have you been drinking?”

The room was filled with a strong smell of alcohol, and it seemed that Scott Henry had drunk quite a lot.

“I’m about to divorce Sophia, and she isn’t as passionate toward me as she used to be. How would I even have the means to trick her into giving me the prescription?”

“Useless!” Andrea scolded. “Once a woman loves a man, she’ll be devoted to him. Sophia must be cold toward you because of Olivia. All you need to do is say a few sweet words, and she’ll surely fall back into your arms. Besides, you’re not divorced yet. Couples argue on one side of the bed and make up on the other. As a man, you still can’t handle a woman?”

Scott Henry caught her implication and frowned, “Mom, are you asking me to get Sophia into bed? How could I do that?”

“Why not? She’s been married for over two years and still hasn’t had a child. Who would want a woman like that, even if she gets divorced?” Andrea replied, irritated.

Scott Henry frowned, hesitating for a long time, until Andrea grew impatient. “What exactly are you trying to say?”

“Mom, Sophia and I… we haven’t even… since we got married,” he muttered, too embarrassed to discuss private marital matters with Andrea.

Andrea was stunned, unable to believe it. “What did you say? Are you telling me you two haven’t… been together, even after all this time?”

“Yes, Mom. I’ve been staying with Olivia all this time, haven’t I?”

Andrea was taken aback. She knew he often didn’t come home, but they had known each other before marriage. Given how open young people are these days, had they really never been together? Though Scott Henry rarely came home after the wedding, they were still husband and wife. Could it be that Sophia hadn’t once pulled Scott Henry into bed? Impossible!

She was truly shocked. “How… how could this be? You mean, even now…”

“No,” Scott Henry said unhappily. “And now we’re about to divorce. You can’t expect me to…”

Unexpectedly, Andrea started laughing and smirked. “Now I understand why Sophia is so determined to divorce. Son, you don’t understand women at all. Once a woman belongs to a man, she’ll do anything for him. Since you’ve never been with Sophia before, why not take this opportunity to make her yours? Once she’s yours, she’ll be devoted to you, and we’ll have the prescription in our hands.”

Scott Henry was skeptical, and thoughts of Olivia made him shake his head. “Olivia is carrying my child now; I can’t…”

Andrea snorted. “Precisely because she’s pregnant, she’s even less likely to argue. At most, she’ll cause a bit of fuss, which you can settle with some money. The prescription is more important!”

Scott Henry hesitated for a while, then downed a few bottles of liquor and headed to Sophia’s room.

Sophia smelled the alcohol on him and remembered what Scott Livinus had said earlier, immediately guessing his intentions.

She looked at Scott Henry with a blank expression. He shivered under her gaze but forced himself to continue, fueled by liquid courage.

“Sophia, I have nowhere to go tonight. I’ll stay here. We’re married, after all, and should sleep together.”

Sophia picked up a freshly washed cucumber from the table and took a bite, casually asking, “This house is so big, and there isn’t a single empty room?”

“I don’t want to sleep anywhere else. This is my room, and I’m not going anywhere!”

He had indeed had too much to drink, as he could barely stand. Sophia glanced at him and gave a cold laugh. “If you’re not leaving, then I will!”
