Reese appeared pleased to converse; she informed Daisy that mating was prohibited in the hallways, as well as in the pool or spa located downstairs. None of the rooms contained kitchens, and the majority of unmated wolves dined in the pack-house dining room for all meals.
That is not particularly surprising. The building comprised two distinct wings, one designated for males and the other for females.
Parking was limited, and no spaces are currently available. If she possessed a car, it would need to be parked in the visiting allied pack’s parking area located to the east of the pack house. That did not concern her; it was the location of her car at present.
She had arranged for it to be collected and returned to the pack prior to boarding her flight. No issues present. Utilised the same packers and movers.
Reese presented her with a room on the first floor. The room comprised a bedroom and bathroom, accompanied by a modest balcony furnished with a chair and table. Insufficient space for her easel and art materials.
A room on the third floor mirrored that of the first floor.
The identical layout featured a view of the pool and spa from within the building.
The room on the fourth floor was largely unchanged. She recognised that these rooms resembled dormitories, likely unnecessary since only the unmated resided here; once mated, individuals could request the construction of a house or relocate to an available one prepared for a family.
Nevertheless, the vista was quite pleasant. It was located at the forefront of the building, allowing her to overlook the town centre from this vantage point.
“The ambiance is pleasant here.” “I appreciate the view,” she informed Reese while resting her elbows on the railing to observe it more closely. “What do you require from me to acquire this location?””
“Simply descend and complete the paperwork; I will affix my stamp, and that will conclude the process,” Reese conveyed to her.
The procedure was exceedingly straightforward. She surmised that it was simple to demonstrate her lack of a mate, and that was probably all that was required.
“What are you doing?””was bellowed from the earth beneath as the two of them gazed at the vista.”
Daisy and Reese directed their focus downward to ascertain the cause of the commotion. Yelling of that intensity was seldom heard among the pack, typically occurring only when a Ranked member or the Alpha and his Unit were in a state of aggression.
It was evident that someone was in distress.
Daisy encountered Caelan, who was glaring at her with evident fury. Was he conversing with her while gazing up at her? He then vanished abruptly within the building.
Reese regarded her with mild astonishment. Daisy dismissed her with a shrug. She was also unaware.
“I will accept it,” she informed Reese.
“You will not, Daisy.” Caelan entered the flat forcefully and grasped her wrist, pulling her through the space. Her eyes were exceedingly wide; he must have employed his Alpha Wolf speed to ascend here with remarkable swiftness.
She had never observed him move with such speed before.
“It is merely a room.” She tugged at her wrist, ensnared in his firm grasp, which was unyielding, as he began to drag her down the stairs.
“You will not be on the fourth floor with a balcony.” He stated harshly.
“Caelan, I am well,” she attempted to convey to him.
“No,” he growled at her while forcibly removing her from the building and advancing towards the pack house, maintaining his grip despite her attempts to escape. Dragged her into the pack-house and to her room on the first floor, disregarding everything she had uttered. She was indifferent to her ongoing struggle to free herself from him, as well as to the fact that onlookers were observing.
Forcefully opened her door and pushed her inside, then stood glaring at her. “You will remain here; what is amiss with this room?”He retorted sharply at her.
“What is the cause of your anger?”She failed to comprehend him.
She recognised that he was still seething as he entered the room, advancing towards her until she was cornered against the wall, their eyes locked in an unbroken gaze.
Caelan was mere inches from her, placing a hand on either side, encasing her within his arms, leaning down until his mouth was pressed against her ear, “If you believe for a moment.” I will permit you to reside outside this pack-house, Daisy. Your assertion is incorrect. You will remain in this room, where I can monitor your location. “Where you lack a balcony,” she discerned anger permeating each word.
“That is absurd; I have resided on the third floor with a balcony for years,” she asserted, and it was indeed the truth.
“I am indifferent,” he rasped, “I assert.”
“Then I shall depart from Caelan, perhaps.” My pack will comply with my wishes. He interrupted her, grasping her chin and tilting it, bringing his face close to hers, their lips nearly touching. “I forbid you to leave, Daisy.”
“That is astonishing,” she exclaimed to him. “You do not desire my presence here.” It is evident that I irritate you excessively as well.
“Confront it,” he rasped, gazing directly at her, his eyes beginning to radiate, with Hudson now present on the surface alongside him.
“I command you.. “To reside in this chamber,” they hissed in unison at her. His Alpha Aura emanated from him, prompting her to gasp and expose her neck. She had no alternative; his presence compelled her submission.
He abruptly departed, slamming the door behind him, leaving her solitary, pressed against the wall.
Closed her eyes, inhaled deeply, and exhaled slowly.
