The Alpha’s Possession – Chapter 30

Caelan comprehended the rationale. He was the cause; however, she ought to have been compelled to return home years prior, irrespective of their feelings. She was vulnerable in the world, an unpaired she-wolf, lacking protection, and susceptible to various dangers. He had never appreciated it, not in the slightest. Female wolves frequently disappeared.

Caelan compensated numerous airport security personnel handsomely to review the footage on her behalf. We observed her falter and collapse the moment she set foot on Canadian soil. She sat with her feet elevated, assessed the situation, and then rested her head on her knees as the realisation struck her.

His prohibition against her presence here constituted a definitive Alpha Order prohibiting her arrival. She had evidently failed to recognise that Hudson was displeased by her attempts to navigate the airport, particularly her hurried exit from departures; the astute young woman departed immediately.

Joe struck him in the jaw upon witnessing her enter a jewellery store and exit adorned with a bracelet labelled “Silver.” Mason remarked, “Observe what she is resorting to.”

“She will be fine,” Caelan asserted, expressing his dissatisfaction regarding his Beta striking him. However, this was not the first instance of such behaviour during their friendship. He glared at Mason, somewhat irate, but ultimately chose to overlook it.

She was deliberately elevating her feet off the ground whenever feasible; however, witnessing her sprint to a bin and vomit concerned him more than he revealed. Was his Order inflicting greater harm upon her than he realised? He did not wish for that outcome. She was informed that the flight she had boarded was en route to Canada. She accompanied Mason back to his plane to file a new flight plan, and they were proceeding to Canada.

“Do you believe she will return to the Pack?” “Once in Canada,” he enquired aloud.

Mason asserted, “Unlikely. She probably believes you will surpass her in this.”

I have never touched the girl, Joe. Never.

“I am aware of that, Caelan,” he acknowledged. “I am merely suggesting that she may perceive it that way.” Disobeying an Alpha’s command incurs punishment. She would be aware of that.

“Do you believe she will proceed with her candidature?”He exhaled audibly.

“I am uncertain.” Avoid you, perhaps. “I doubt it,” he shrugged, “I’ll head home.”

“It appears to be a hunt, then.”

“Numerous individuals reside in Canada, Caelan.” Monitoring a single woman may prove to be quite challenging.

“You are present for a purpose, Joe,” he stated, gazing directly at him with emphasis.

“Ah, so it is not to prevent her from fleeing at the first sight of you.” It is to monitor her on your behalf.

“I am not foolish, Joe.” You and Daisy…” he allowed the statement to linger, resenting the notion that Mason would probably become Daisy’s Mate. There was nothing he could do regarding the situation. On the positive side, he believed he would always be aware of her whereabouts. Directed my gaze towards the window.

Heard Hudson growl internally, ‘Confront it, Hudson; even you recognise it.’

“That will not occur; Amelia belongs to me.”

She is not. Not for the previous decade.

“Mine,” he growled. ‘She has been mated again.’

“Foolishly so.” Caelan directed his thoughts at his wolf, who retreated to the recesses of his mind, remaining discontented. There is a possibility that Amelia may become Lark, Mason’s Wolfs’ Mate, rather than his own. Hudson had observed sufficient interactions between Mason and Daisy to recognise a profound connection between them. Caelan had perceived it since childhood.

He had not even paused when he discovered he was bonded to the girl. Mason had accepted the news with composure and had cared for Daisy during her initial week of recovery from her injuries. Caelan had avoided her, refraining from even glancing in her direction.

He redirected his thoughts entirely, avoiding nostalgia, which he despised, as their Mate Bond had been detrimental and unhealthy for both parties involved.

“Cease this,” he admonished himself, recognising that he was descending into nostalgia. It belongs to the past; allow it to remain there.

He had observed her within the group; his father had remarked that she was ‘well now.’ Indeed, she appeared to be in good spirits, smiling and laughing, socialising with her school friends, and even engaging in dancing and consuming alcohol, as far as he understood.

He appeared to have developed a rapport with Lydia and seemed genuinely pleased to have discovered his Mate and to have progressed. I even purchased a gift for him. A present she attempted to present to him personally. It remained in his office, still encased and unhandled by him.

How could she possibly ascertain what to procure for him? He had never spent time with her in that manner, having scarcely conversed with her during the two years of their Mate Bond. He was uncertain of its nature, likely a type of framed print. That was the appearance, although he was entirely unaware of its nature. He was unlikely to open it. She was disinclined to allow her to procure a gift for him.

He had never procured anything for her at any time.

He was unaware of the reason behind her purchase of a gift for him. He would not have purchased one for her. She would undoubtedly disapprove of the sole item he had made an effort to obtain for her. It was ignited and reduced to ashes, with only the diamonds enduring the flames.
