The Alpha’s Second Chance – Chapter 32

Departed

Brianna raised an eyebrow; she had been compelled to come here and design the dress, and she was certain she would eventually be obligated to create it as well, thus she did not comprehend why she expressed gratitude. Or why her father compelled her to utter it; it was solely due to his coercive threats. Not from altruistic motives.

“Am I permitted to leave now?”Brianna asserted bluntly.

“Indeed, Brianna, I appreciate your assistance.” My daughter lacks design talent, and no one in my circle comprehends her desires; she observed your work and implored me to have you create her dress. You indicated that you would be the person to comprehend her.

Brianna remained silent, desiring only to depart; she was indifferent to his explanation, as it was late and she wished to distance herself from this man and his menace. She had fulfilled his request. She stood and took Logan’s hand to guide him out of the suite, with Alpha Nathan trailing behind her.

“Oh, one additional matter,” he remarked as she distanced herself from his door.

She turned to him, her jaw clenched, observing his charming smile; he was aware of her annoyance yet remained indifferent.

“Good night, Brianna… Dieng.”

That caused her to lift her head and enlarge her eyes. She did not use the name Dieng in the human realm. How had he discerned that her surname was Dieng? He heard him chuckle and observed his eyes nearly sparkle with amusement. If you ever require assistance, Brianna, my pack is available to you and your son. Consistently. Therefore, retain my information.

She wished to enquire how he possessed that knowledge, but refrained from doing so. Merely turned and departed. Rowan’s eyes were likely a hereditary trait.

“Brianna,” he called to her, “I genuinely mean it; you would be secure within my Pack.”

She cast a fleeting glance at him but remained silent, continuing to walk away. He had coerced her to fulfil his demands earlier, and now he asserted that she would be secure within his Pack. That was highly improbable. She failed to comprehend him and was displeased that he was aware of her identity. He probably intended for his pack to capitalise on her profit margin, taking a substantial portion for himself.

“Mother,” Brand enquired upon entering their suite, “How did he ascertain our surname?””

“I am uncertain, aside from your birth certificate and education, regarding the house and the vehicle.” “We are referred to as Layla,” she stated with a frown. It must have been their wolf-like eyes that revealed the truth. Her mother consistently advised her to uphold the Dieng name, regardless of circumstances. It was significant. When she gave birth to Logan, using the name Layla at the time, she recorded Dieng on his birth certificate and listed the father as unknown. The humans were indifferent to his lineage.

“Pack,” she instructed him. “We shall depart at dawn.”

Logan remained silent, simply gathering his belongings, presumably eager to depart from this place as well. Verified her flight schedule; they were scheduled for a late checkout and planned to board again in the morning prior to departing for home. Their flight was scheduled for the late afternoon. It appeared that obtaining an earlier option was unfeasible, so they would have to manage the situation; she presumed they could spend time at the airport.

She sat on her bed and searched online for the duration of their drive home, which was seven and a half hours, concluding that it would be faster to drive than to wait for their flight.

Arranged a rental car and accepted a financial loss on their airfares, discovered Logan standing beside her bed, gazing up at her. She smiled at him and said, “Enter.” I believed we could drive home tomorrow. We may depart early.

“Understood,” he acknowledged as he ascended onto the bed.

Brianna positioned him in the bed and reclined beside him, gently sweeping his hair from his face. “Are you fearful, Logan?”She enquired gently.

“Negative, however…”

“However?””

“Are you angry with Rowan…he caused our predicament.”

Brianna embraced him. “Negative!” Rowan exhibits considerable bravery; Layla and I take great pride in him, to be candid.” She kissed the crown of his head. “He merely requires improved timing, that is all.”

She remained awake, stroking his hair until he dozed off, then completed the car rental arrangements before preparing to sleep herself.

Ryder’s Perspective

What do you mean by Sadie’s disappearance?Ryder scowled while listening to his father on the other end of the queue. Observed his entire unit turn and gaze at him as well. Luca rose to his feet, appearing profoundly astonished.

They had returned to Colorado and had been there for two days.

“Ryder, her vehicle is absent.” She has not been seen for an entire day, not since she retired to bed last night, nor during breakfast.” He discerned the concern in his father Benjamin’s voice.

“She has not merely gone out shopping with her friends?” Departed early this morning to avoid rush hour congestion.Ryder enquired, “When was the precise last occasion you observed her?”
