Against the Alpha’s Claim – Chapter 307

Casual talk

He informed her that he merely wished to ensure she had the opportunity to express herself and make her own decisions. Perhaps today he would purchase something he favoured. He had not yet accomplished this. She anticipated that by sending him to a pet supply store, abundant with various items, he would indulge and return home with a plethora of goods for their dog.

Something she could chuckle at and laugh with him regarding his complete immersion in fatherhood and his tendency to purchase anything he encountered.

She anticipated that they would gather and he would unveil everything, expressing great enthusiasm about showcasing his purchases. It would provide a pleasant conclusion to the day for both of them.

“Luke, when Bella discovers our destination, she will be quite displeased,” Benzy informed him as they departed from the pack.

He acknowledged that his Beta was correct, although he wished to alleviate her concern, as the Luna Ceremony was merely a week away and she need a reduction in anxiety. It was unnecessary. for her to be heading to the Alpha Council’s estate with him.

Philip indicated that the decision about attendance at Mia’s sentence was at the discretion of both individuals or solely Luke and his unit. Alpha’s command had disclosed much regarding the she-wolf. Information that Alpha Philip believed he ought to get.

He was en route to their farm located beyond Buffalo to ascertain the revelations of the Alpha Orders. He was not optimistic about his enjoyment of it and wished to keep Mia away from Bella entirely.

He intended to inform her of the conclusion once he was aware of it. He was aware that she had not left the pack since returning home; he had proposed taking her out for dinner twice at their pack restaurant in Rochester, to which she had merely shaken her head and declined.

He speculated whether she was apprehensive about an impending event or the possibility of being taken again. Although she had not explicitly stated her involvement, it undoubtedly pertained to her. He was greatly concerned; his application was currently in the Beta testing phase, with six pack members utilising it and two individuals monitoring them continuously.

She would ascertain the situation at her Luna Ceremony, addressing any potential problems and malfunctions. He kept her informed about the process and responded to all her enquiries. It appears she was certainly inclined to wear it constantly.

Presumably only till her condition stabilised and was resolved.

Consequently, she was probably disinclined to utilise it. He anticipated that it would become a customary practice for her, leading to her perpetual desire to utilise it.

Their meeting today was intended to last approximately one hour. He was pleased that the situation would be resolved and consequences were being administered. Subsequently, he and Benzy would have ample time for infant buying. He was aware that the man has an extensive list from Margaret detailing her desires.

He anticipated that the conference would proceed favourably, as he preferred not to depart from the Alpha Council Estate feeling irate and dissatisfied with Mia’s penalty, which would likely diminish his inclination to buy.

If he were truthful with himself, he was genuinely anticipating shopping for his new puppy. He had observed photographs of the triplets from their birth and throughout their development, but he had missed all those moments. He was determined to witness every moment of their other children’s births and upbringing.

During the lengthy trip to the estate, which his GPS indicated was around thirty minutes north of Buffalo, near Niagara Falls, they engaged in conversation about their romantic partners. Casual talk served as an effective distraction for him. He was driving today while listening to his unit converse and express fondness for their partners; it was enjoyable.

Lanky conversed about Maya as if she were his companion, smiling at Benzy in the passenger seat, who reciprocated the smile. The father appeared to be emotionally connected to the girl. No confirmation existed regarding Maya’s status as his Mate. There was no assurance he would receive a second opportunity, Mate. However, if he genuinely liked the female, he may select her as his chosen partner, if she was amenable. However, that would require significantly more time than a Gifted Mate.

A selected human mate was a rare occurrence, yet he would permit it, acting honourably towards her, allowing them to date for a minimum of six months before revealing their true nature. However, if Nora accepted Macky, which was widely assumed, they believed it was inevitable. She could assist with Maya and Lanky: It had been years since Lanky’s Mate had passed away, and although he had not sought a second chance Mate, he did attend all pack Mating balls. He typically refrained from visiting other packs, except for his Mate’s home pack, which he attended solely to see them. They were all aware that it fostered a sense of closeness to Claudia, and her family appeared to appreciate him as well.

Striking Luke’s newly discovered fated mate with claws unsheathed—a reflex her wolf, Tyler, cryptically defends with the words, “To protect the pup.” Stripped of her place in the pack and warned never to return, Bella complies, narrowly avoiding the rogue label since Luke has not yet ascended to full Alpha status. Heartbroken and resolute, she retreats to the human world, immersing herself in university life to complete her law degree. Bella carves out a new existence as a successful divorce attorney, far from the pack that cast her aside, the future Luna who despises her, and the secret she guards fiercely—her children, the legacy of a love she can never reclaim. Six years pass in self-imposed exile, but the past refuses to stay buried. When an official letter from the Red Moon Pack demands her return, Bella defiantly burns it, vowing never to step foot in Luke’s territory again. But Luke, now the reigning Alpha, is relentless. He will bring her back, no matter the cost. Bound by the constraints of human law and society, Luke cannot simply take her by force—her prominence in the human world complicates any attempt to make her disappear. Yet, he is determined to claim what he believes is his by right. As their paths cross again, Bella is thrust into a storm of conflicting emotions. Her wolf yearns for Luke, urging her to reclaim the bond they share, but Bella’s heart is torn. She despises the man who cast her out yet still feels the undeniable pull of their connection. To her, Luke’s motives are clear: he wants his heirs by his side, not her. She believes his wolf drives him to claim her, while the man himself sees her merely as the mother of his children, a convenient solution to his legacy. But is that the truth? Or does Luke harbor a deeper love for her that he has yet to admit—even to himself? In the battle between pride and fate, will Bella surrender to the mate bond or stand firm in her resolve to remain free? Only time will reveal whether their fractured past can heal, or if the scars will prove too deep to overcome.
