Against the Alpha’s Claim – Chapter 301

Examination

He was entirely dissatisfied with Alpha Philip and the council; they should have imposed the maximum penalty on that she-wolf without soliciting their opinions on what was deemed suitable. He deemed death to be fitting. He contemplated calling that man back to personally demand to see Mia.

Allow Maddis to independently arrange the responses to uncover the intricacies of her scheming and strategising. He could easily envision that she must be apprehensive about Maddis. They had not concluded their relationship amicably, and he had contemplated murdering her in the mountains despite her pregnancy, but refrained due to Luke’s intervention.

If he entered that location and confronted her, Maddis would undoubtedly experience genuine dread for her life and the safety of her children. She contemplated whether he could make such a request.

Contemplated whether she would plead for incarceration with her children if he entered and informed her that he would pursue her immediately upon her release. Nothing on this divinely bestowed earth would prevent him from severing her head from her body.

He was convinced that Bella was correct regarding the woman’s intentions.

They did not correlate, not genuinely. She desired to witness Bella’s defeat and despondency, and simultaneously wished for him to be assaulted and slain by an Alpha. He was unaware of that, as she concealed it from him. She aimed not merely to harm them, but to eliminate them both, he surmised.

Presumably desired their presence for one of them to experience it too. She had not altered in the slightest since departing from this pack, orio, in a positive manner. It was evident that her attitude and demeanour had likely deteriorated; this was all he could perceive. Her malicious and vengeful nature had intensified significantly, reaching a new pinnacle of cruelty.

With both he and Bella absent, if she had obtained her desires, her strategy had triumphed. He was positive that the triplets would have been her subsequent target.

Fortunately, Bella had entrusted them to the protection of the pack.

He would detest contemplating the potential consequences for them. If she had chosen to bring them along and Mia had seized them.

Luke was likewise disinclined to wait for that return phone call, as it would likely require only a few hours. However, it had been over a day, and the phone had not received any calls unrelated to pack business. He needed to cultivate patience, despite it not being his forte, he was in the process of learning.

Bella frequently gazed at him as though she anticipated his immobility or patience, and he had realised that failing to comply would provoke her irritation. He smiled to himself at the mere thought of her; she was in the Luna suite, accompanied by all the girls, indulging in a day of pampering.

The massage therapists from the day spa, together with the female staff, were also present in the Luna suite. From his observation, they were receiving all available treatments in the day spa, although privately in the Luna Suite.

Jay L. requires pedicures, manicures, facials, body wraps, and massages. Dani, Margaret, and Nora. Although Maya and her mother received an invitation, they travelled to Rochester to inspect a store with an apartment above it. Elena discovered a building that met the requirements for her flower shop and, to her pleasure, it included a small flat right above. She discovered it entirely independently, without any assistance from anybody.

Secured an appointment today for an examination.

Elena’s parcel of land had astonishingly sold almost immediately after being listed for sale. He smiled to himself, having acquired it at the asking price, and it would remain idle for the time being. He had no requirement for a minor parcel of land in Los Angeles. He would probably retain it for several months before listing it on the market himself. If it did not sell, he would construct a house on the property and attempt to sell again, not very concerned about the situation. In the worst-case scenario, he leased it until it was sold.

Today’s activities for the girls were planned by Benzy immediately after breakfast. He descended the stairs this morning beaming, accompanied by Margaret, who was equally radiant. It was informed during breakfast that she was expecting their first puppy. She was expectant and exceedingly pleased. Radiating enthusiasm, she incessantly discussed the various items required for their room.

Benzy had merely sat, smiling at her, and would concede to her every request. Margaret discussed altering the Beta suite and expressed a desire to commence work on the nursery. She had grasped Bella’s arm and was speaking rapidly about buying together for the two nurseries. One for each individual, enabling them to engage in all activities collectively.

He had wasted Bella’s grin not just on Margaret but also on Benzy. He was quite willing to accompany Margaret shopping, although believed it would be more prudent to shop online for the time being. She huffed somewhat but then acquiesced.

Bella, once the cherished lover of future Alpha Luke of the Red Moon Pack, finds her world shattered when she is banished from her pack. Her crime? Striking Luke’s newly discovered fated mate with claws unsheathed—a reflex her wolf, Tyler, cryptically defends with the words, “To protect the pup.” Stripped of her place in the pack and warned never to return, Bella complies, narrowly avoiding the rogue label since Luke has not yet ascended to full Alpha status. Heartbroken and resolute, she retreats to the human world, immersing herself in university life to complete her law degree. Bella carves out a new existence as a successful divorce attorney, far from the pack that cast her aside, the future Luna who despises her, and the secret she guards fiercely—her children, the legacy of a love she can never reclaim. Six years pass in self-imposed exile, but the past refuses to stay buried. When an official letter from the Red Moon Pack demands her return, Bella defiantly burns it, vowing never to step foot in Luke’s territory again. But Luke, now the reigning Alpha, is relentless. He will bring her back, no matter the cost. Bound by the constraints of human law and society, Luke cannot simply take her by force—her prominence in the human world complicates any attempt to make her disappear. Yet, he is determined to claim what he believes is his by right. As their paths cross again, Bella is thrust into a storm of conflicting emotions. Her wolf yearns for Luke, urging her to reclaim the bond they share, but Bella’s heart is torn. She despises the man who cast her out yet still feels the undeniable pull of their connection. To her, Luke’s motives are clear: he wants his heirs by his side, not her. She believes his wolf drives him to claim her, while the man himself sees her merely as the mother of his children, a convenient solution to his legacy. But is that the truth? Or does Luke harbor a deeper love for her that he has yet to admit—even to himself? In the battle between pride and fate, will Bella surrender to the mate bond or stand firm in her resolve to remain free? Only time will reveal whether their fractured past can heal, or if the scars will prove too deep to overcome.
