Maya smiled sweetly at Macky and batted her eyelids, leading him to believe she was attempting to flirt with him, despite his disapproval.

Macky attempted to convince her of his complete disinterest in her younger sister. That he genuinely had exclusive affection for her. Nora seems to lack belief in him. It is evident that an undisclosed matter existed between the sisters.
She had observed Maya scrutinising Macky upon their initial arrival in L.A. Nora’s anxiety was evident, despite his own dismissal of the matter. Although she had no cause for concern, her demeanour regarding Macky changed; she became aloof and reticent in Maya’s presence. She may have believed he would prefer Maya to her.
Bella attempted to discuss the matter with her but was rebuffed.
It appeared to be a sensitive issue. An incident had undoubtedly occurred between the two sisters, presumably involving a man. Had not yet discussed it with her. Bella was uncertain whether Nora would discuss the matter with her and hoped she would.
I intended to attempt it today. She was aware that Halley’s nanny, Lidia, was absent this morning but would return to work this afternoon. Although Nora was occupied, Bella planned to discreetly accompany her to the office under the guise of a meeting to investigate the situation.
It was evident to her that Nora had changed since Maya’s ankle sprain; Macky perceived it as well. Shed claimed it was little, however the silence and her gaze towards her younger sister often conveyed profound meaning, not solely to Macky. I was deliberately avoiding being in Maya’s presence at all times. Although Bella perceived that Nora was also aware of this, it did not ameliorate the situation.

Entered her office with Nora shortly thereafter and requested her to have a seat. She complied. “Nora, are you concerned about Macky being attracted to your sister?” She enquired directly of her. While it was not her role as an employer, it was her role as the woman’s future Luna.
Observed Nora regarding her with a puzzled expression. I have observed that you and Macky have been increasingly silent, despite your assertion to him that it was inconsequential. He is apprehensive that you believe he favours your sister over you.
“This would not be the inaugural instance.” Nora exhaled after a little pause, seemingly contemplating whether to discuss the matter.
Macky will not subject you to it, Nora. I have known him for my entire life. The dude is monogamous.
“I am not his partner,” she declared bluntly.
“Indeed, you are.” Bella laughed. “I have never witnessed him gaze at anyone as he gazes at you.” He may be proceeding cautiously, Nora, but that is due to the novelty of the situation. He will neither rush you nor himself and will desire that you become acquainted with him thoroughly.
Nora gazed at her for an extended period, remaining largely silent.
Bella exhaled deeply and settled beside her, “What is it, Nora?”

“She is educated and I am not; she is obtaining her university degree while I am merely a nanny.” Why would he desire me when she is younger, more attractive, pursuing an education, and evidently more intelligent?
Bella gazed directly at her, somewhat taken aback by her assertion.
“Has Maya ever appropriated a boyfriend from you previously?”
“Indeed, more than one.” She nodded, “Is intent on targeting Macky; I can perceive it,” she muttered quietly.
Macky lacks interest in Maya, Nora. He is unwaveringly faithful.
“You assert that,” she exhaled. “However, that is inconsequential.” All claim to be loyal and trustworthy. Ultimately, she acquires them… I do not mean to imply otherwise; I cherish my sister, however at times I wish she would refrain from observing anyone in whom I have an interest.
Bella scowled, “Your most recent boyfriend?”“
“Indeed, she was the individual with whom I discovered him.” I anticipated that Macky would behave differently; however, they are now deliberately evading one another.
