Moore Audrey was lost in thought when suddenly someone tickled her ankle.
Startled back to reality, she heard the boy’s muffled voice:
“You’re distracted… how are we supposed to move next?”
Moore Audrey coughed awkwardly, straightened up, and looked at the balloons, saying:
“Take three steps to the northwest, there’s one…”
The boy adjusted his grip on her knees, lifted his foot, and took three steps forward, then stomped down, popping a balloon.
Moore Audrey’s eyes lit up, and she couldn’t help but laugh lightly:
“Thompson Miguel, you’re really good at this…”
Before he could respond, she urged him to step on the next one. As they played, Moore Audrey became genuinely interested.
It was clear the girl was excited.
Thompson Miguel, however, was slightly distracted; her light laughter was right next to him, feeling like whispers in his ear, making his heart race.
Sometimes he felt restless too; to him, Moore Audrey was like a little dumpling, and he just wanted to pinch her cheeks, especially when she made certain expressions that were too captivating.
Being with Moore Audrey didn’t really help his expressionless face.
And the girl was a bit clever…
But sometimes he felt a bit angry about Moore Audrey’s attitude towards others, especially since she cared so much about him.
Carrying the girl, they worked well together and quickly moved ahead.
The following rounds relied heavily on teamwork.
Both of them performed well and were fully engaged.
When the game ended and the scores were announced, they surprisingly managed to snag a third prize.
The third prize was a life-sized stuffed bear, and when Moore Audrey received it, she was completely buried in it.
Once they got off the stage, Jade couldn’t help but point and laugh at her. Just as she was about to laugh for two seconds, Moore Audrey noticed her hands were empty, and she felt much lighter.
Instinctively, she looked at Thompson Miguel, who had taken the bear, his expression neutral:
“I’ll hold it for you…”
Moore Audrey smiled and softly thanked him.
Jade, on the other hand, was choked up, caught off guard by a mouthful of food, feeling uncomfortable…
Seth, however, was more realistic, quietly acting like an invisible light bulb.
Since Moore Audrey unexpectedly got a life-sized pillow, it was inconvenient to walk around, so they briefly discussed and decided to end the morning’s itinerary there, as Seth had something to do in the afternoon and couldn’t accompany them.
He briefly introduced them to a few good places, and the three girls returned to the hotel to rest and drop off the pillow.
In the afternoon, after discussing a few attractions, they finally settled on going to a water park.
Moore Audrey was still very interested in water activities.
Especially kayaking; Moore Audrey was particularly eager to try it. Her best friend was always in sync with her thoughts, and Thompson Miguel seemed to have no objections, so they headed to that activity first.
However, they were in a rush and hadn’t prepared much, so they had to wear water suits to avoid getting their clothes wet, although Moore Audrey thought it was no different from wearing nothing at all.
As they rushed down the slope, Moore Audrey was the first to get splashed in the face, her eyes momentarily unable to open.
Before she could brace herself, another wave hit her, and just as she was ready to get drenched again, someone suddenly pushed her head to the side.
All she could hear was the muffled screams of the crowd outside.
Her nose was filled with a familiar scent, and her heart raced uncontrollably.
When the activity ended, they were all quite disheveled, soaked through, and fearing illness, they decided to return to the hotel early.
The hotel had its own hot springs, and after greeting Thompson Miguel, Moore Audrey took her best friend Jade to soak in the springs.
They each booked separate private hot springs and began whispering to each other.
Jade certainly wouldn’t miss the chance to tease Moore Audrey, telling her how she had watched her get her head pressed into Thompson Miguel’s arms.
Moore Audrey looked at her, saying nothing.
After all, she was just letting Jade have her fun.
They chatted for a while before moving on to other topics, naturally boasting about Jade’s male idol.
In the following days, they were taken around by Seth and also explored places on their own. After a few days of fun, they returned as planned.
This time, the flight tickets were booked by Thompson Miguel. It wasn’t until Jade boarded the plane that she suddenly realized that the expressionless academic was quite cunning.
Thompson Miguel had booked seats for the three of them, with Moore Audrey and Jade by the window. However, the two best friends were separated, one in front and one behind, with only Thompson Miguel sitting next to Moore Audrey.
