All I Want Is to Hug Her – Chapter 62

Tonight

She happened to see the swirl of hair on the top of his head, paused for a moment, and suddenly remembered when Thompson Miguel had ruffled her hair earlier, stirring something in her heart.

Her hand instinctively reached up to touch the top of the boy’s head.

Thompson Miguel paused, looking up at her, while the young girl’s hand remained on his head.

When Moore Audrey met his dark eyes, her heart raced for a moment, but she quickly calmed down and said reasonably, “You just touched my head too!”

Then she pretended to act natural as she withdrew her hand. Thompson Miguel continued to pause for a few seconds before straightening up, while the young girl had already climbed up two steps.

For some unknown reason, the design of the stairs at the school was quite unreasonable; they were particularly high.

For someone like Thompson Miguel with long legs, it might not be much of an issue, but for Moore Audrey with her short legs, it posed a bit of a challenge.

Thompson Miguel watched her struggle to climb the stairs, a smile flickering in his eyes.

He then lifted his foot to catch up with the young girl.

Moore Audrey noticed how easily he caught up, looking relaxed, which made her a bit annoyed. She couldn’t help but glare at him: “Having long legs is impressive, huh!”

Thompson Miguel glanced at her, not angry. Although his expression remained calm, there was a hint of teasing in his voice: “Do you want me to help you up the stairs?”

Moore Audrey looked at him in surprise, but the boy took a step up and extended his hand to her.

Moore Audrey looked down at the hand in front of her, paused for a moment, and then, with a bit of shamelessness, accepted it.

After all, her legs were too short, and… being led up the stairs by Thompson Miguel was really quite easy!

The two followed the school’s directional signs to the painting exhibition area. Moore Audrey looked attentively, and when she saw something she liked, she told Thompson Miguel that she would paint a piece when she got back.

Thompson Miguel remained quiet, simply watching her and listening to her talk.

In his heart, he pondered whether he should also learn to paint.

After visiting the painting exhibition area, they moved on to the handicraft exhibition area. Moore Audrey unexpectedly saw her own work displayed in one of the showcases and proudly boasted to Thompson Miguel: “I told you my work would definitely be selected!”

Thompson Miguel nodded as he watched her, continuing to follow her around.

They then went to see the calligraphy and painting exhibition area. Moore Audrey pointed at a few pieces and exclaimed that she wanted to learn. Thompson Miguel glanced at them and then turned to look at her: “I can teach you!”

Moore Audrey gasped in surprise: “You can?”

Thompson Miguel met her sparkling eyes, feeling a stir in his heart. He raised his index finger and nodded: “I can!”

Sure enough, the young girl was hooked, her eyes filled with admiration as she said: “Thompson Miguel, you’re amazing!”

Thompson Miguel’s expression softened slightly, a pleasant aura radiating from him: “You can tell me when you want to learn…”

Moore Audrey nodded vigorously, losing interest in looking at other calligraphy and paintings.

Since Moore Audrey had already helped out in the class during the later stages, and it was almost time for school to end, she simply discussed with the boy about going out of school for lunch.

The food street near the school was a place Moore Audrey and Jade had explored before, and the young girl, familiar with it, recommended a private restaurant she had visited with Jade.

The private restaurant was as lively as ever. When they entered, there were only seats available in the outer area, so they found a corner table to sit down.

Moore Audrey asked Thompson Miguel what he wanted to eat, then recommended a few dishes based on his preferences, and ordered a few of her favorites while waiting for the food to arrive.

They had only waited a few minutes when Moore Audrey received a call from her best friend Jade.

Moore Audrey answered, and right off the bat, her best friend scolded her, complaining that she had no humanity for having a male friend.

Then she asked if Moore Audrey was with Thompson Miguel. Moore Audrey, feeling guilty, glanced at Thompson Miguel and replied with a soft “mm.”

On the other end, Jade huffed, “I knew it!”

Before Moore Audrey could respond, Jade continued to chatter: “You’re so good… abandoning your childhood best friend for the top student… I was waiting for you to give me a loving hug and encouragement this morning, but all I heard was my best friend writing encouragement words for another boy…”

Moore Audrey felt weak for a moment, unable to refute, and could only admit her fault: “I was wrong… I’ll buy you some dried fish!”

Jade huffed again: “Do you think I’m a cat? Dried fish!”

Moore Audrey paused, feeling helpless: “I just forgot about you this morning!”

Jade calmly reminded her: “Please add the key point: it was because of another dog that you forgot about me this morning!”

Moore Audrey: “…”

In the end, she could only concede and huff, “So how do you want me to make it up to you?”

Jade suddenly said mysteriously: “Can you do me a favor?”

Moore Audrey was taken aback, raising an eyebrow in curiosity: “What favor?”

Jade looked around and then covered the phone with her hand, saying: “Just bring someone to school for me tonight!”
