All I Want Is to Hug Her – Chapter 61

Slow

Upon hearing this, Thompson Miguel couldn’t help but raise his eyebrows, turning to look at her. Seeing the admiration on her face, he suddenly felt very pleased inside.

He glanced down at the little girl, his right hand hanging at his side, but at that moment, he couldn’t help but lift his index finger.

“I’ll go change clothes first; I have a sprint later!”

Moore Audrey nodded, understanding:

“Got it, I’ll go watch!”

Having achieved his goal, Thompson Miguel seemed a bit happy. After giving a slight nod, he looked at Moore Audrey, who was still looking down, and before leaving, he couldn’t resist ruffling her curious head, then turned to leave.

Moore Audrey was taken aback, then raised her hand to touch her head, looking in the direction the boy had left for a few seconds before glancing at her hand that was about to drop.

She muttered to herself, “Being tall is impressive, huh~”

After muttering, Moore Audrey headed towards the class logistics point.

At that time, the classmates had already prepared all the necessary items, and the life committee member confirmed the first group of students participating in the track events.

After arranging the personnel for delivering water and supplies, things were more or less settled. Moore Audrey found a spot to sit down, took out a pen, and was ready to write encouraging words for the sports meet.

As she picked up the pen, she recalled what Thompson Miguel had just said, pondered for a moment, and then got up to check the schedule for the sports meet, learning that Thompson Miguel’s track event was probably around ten o’clock.

Now it was just past nine, and the first group of participating students had already started checking in.

Moore Audrey wrote two encouraging notes for her classmates, thought for a moment, and then wrote a few encouraging notes for Thompson Miguel, planning to personally deliver them to the broadcasting station after the first group finished.

At the broadcasting station, she looked around and specifically found a familiar person to sneak in through the back door, asking him to announce it when the third group was running.

The person accepted readily, but when Moore Audrey made her request, he teased her a few times.

Moore Audrey didn’t mind, huffed at him, turned around, and left the broadcasting room. She stood on the stairs in front of the broadcasting room to find a good spot, thought for a moment, and then ran to buy a bottle of water before the second group was ready.

When she returned, panting, it was just in time for the third group to start with the whistle.

Moore Audrey gasped as she searched for Thompson Miguel, and when he finally crossed the finish line, she spotted him.

Her eyes lit up, and she hurried towards the finish line, finally managing to weave through the crowd to reach the boy’s side.

With bright eyes, she raised her hand, just about to pat Thompson Miguel, when suddenly someone pushed her from behind.

Moore Audrey was pushed and lost her balance, suddenly lunging forward and crashing directly onto Thompson Miguel’s back, her foot getting kicked in the process.

Moore Audrey let out a hiss, and Thompson Miguel, startled, turned around to support her, catching her perfectly in his arms.

Moore Audrey’s mouth just happened to land on his arm, and as the young girl steadied herself, she immediately looked up.

She reflexively licked her lips, tasting something salty…

Thompson Miguel, however, shivered slightly; the soft sensation on his arm was magnified, even though there was still a hint of pain.

But all he could remember was that touch, which was infinitely amplified in his mind.

Moore Audrey quickly used his arm to climb out of his embrace.

She raised her hand to wipe her mouth, shyly smiled, and apologized to Thompson Miguel, then handed him the water she was holding.

Thompson Miguel glanced at her, took the water without saying anything, and then pulled her out of the playground. They both sat down on the stairs above the playground.

Moore Audrey remembered and smiled as she congratulated Thompson Miguel.

After all, judging from the results of the recent competition, he was first in the third group.

Thompson Miguel nodded, then recalled something and asked, “Did you write the encouragement words?”

Moore Audrey nodded, seeking praise: “Of course! I was cheering you on!”

Thompson Miguel slightly lifted the corners of his lips and asked, “Are you all rehearsing tonight?”

Moore Audrey paused, uncertain. “I don’t know. It seems like the literary committee drew lots and got a later slot, so we should practice a bit. What about your class?”

Thompson Miguel twisted the bottle cap and replied, “Our class drew sixth, so we should be performing tonight!”

Moore Audrey exclaimed and nodded, then suddenly turned to look at him, as if giving a reminder: “Then you have to perform well!”

Thompson Miguel nodded, and they continued to sit on the steps, enjoying the breeze, before he suggested going to see the art exhibition.

Each class had to submit art pieces, and Moore Audrey eagerly participated, agreeing without much thought.

Upon hearing this, Thompson Miguel stood up, but Moore Audrey was a beat slow and just happened to turn to look at the boy.
