All I Want Is to Hug Her – Chapter 57

Seriousness

The school day proceeded as usual, and early on Friday morning, the class monitor announced an exciting piece of news.

Starting from Wednesday to Friday of the week after next, the school would suspend classes for a sports meet.

As per tradition, the sports meet would be held during the day, followed by an arts performance in the evening.

The students, who had been oppressed for too long, were all eager and looking forward to the arrival of the week after next.

Since each class had to present a performance for the arts show, the cultural committee took the initiative to finalize the performance plan, which was first submitted to the class teacher for approval before voting in class.

In the end, they settled on a play, naturally performing “Thunderstorm,” which they had studied in their textbooks.

Moore Audrey played a minor role as a little girl with little presence.

The eldest young master and the second young master were also arranged properly.

The old class teacher was generous and, for once, relaxed, allowing them to use the last self-study period in the afternoon starting from that day for rehearsals.

The whole class gathered and first went to the playground to rehearse the entrance ceremony for the sports meet, as this was also a part of the overall score calculation for the event.

Everyone was in high spirits and took the rehearsal seriously.

After the formation was completed, Moore Audrey and the small drama team went to find an empty classroom on the first floor to rehearse while the other students returned to the classroom for self-study.

Moore Audrey followed along, but after searching around, she found that almost all the classrooms were occupied by other classes rehearsing.

The little girl paused and suggested to the cultural committee member:

“Why don’t we see which class has a bit more space and discuss sharing a classroom with them?”

The cultural committee member thought for a moment, nodded in agreement, and thus, Moore Audrey successfully took on the task of persuasion.

After all… Moore Audrey was so cute, fair, and soft that anyone would be easily persuaded by her…

Moore Audrey didn’t decline and readily agreed. The little girl wandered around but couldn’t find her best friend’s figure among the crowd, feeling a bit dejected, and wanted to suggest finding a back door with her best friend.

Just as the girl was feeling down, a member of the drama team suddenly poked her shoulder with a smile and said:

“I heard that the special class will also perform this time… They say the top student Thompson Miguel is rehearsing in room 103!”

Moore Audrey was taken aback for a moment, then nodded in realization, only to see that classmate give her a mischievous smile before walking away.

Moore Audrey paused for a moment, then reacted, casting a slightly serious glance at that classmate before heading to room 103. There was no other way… It was best to discuss this with someone familiar…

When she reached the door of room 103, the little girl hesitated for a moment, knocked, and opened the door, only to meet several pairs of eyes inside.

The little girl froze for a moment, feeling a bit shy, and raised her eyes to Thompson Miguel, softly saying:

“Excuse me… I’m looking for Thompson Miguel…”

After a brief pause, someone near the door spoke up, calling out to Miguel, then exchanged a knowing smile with him.

Thompson Miguel shot him a deep glance, then walked towards the door.

Stepping out of the classroom and looking at the little girl in front of him, he lowered his head:

“What do you need me for?”

Moore Audrey smiled sweetly, then looked up at him:

“Well, there’s the arts performance next week… and all the empty classrooms have been booked… So, um, can we share a classroom with your class?”

After speaking, the little girl blinked her eyes, looking hopeful.

Thompson Miguel looked at her and pondered for a moment before nodding:

“Sure!”

Indeed, the little girl immediately beamed with joy, raising her hand and playfully slapping it against the boy’s arm, happily exclaiming:

“Thompson Miguel, you are so nice!”

Thompson Miguel glanced at his arm, his hand hanging by his side, and his index finger lifted slightly.

Originally, Moore Audrey wanted to quickly tell the drama team the good news, but then thought it might not be good to just use him and then let him go, so she looked at him and asked another question:

“Are you also going to represent your class in the arts performance this time?”

Thompson Miguel shook his head, “No… I’m just responsible for supervising their rehearsals!”

Moore Audrey exclaimed in surprise, enviously saying:

“Ah… that’s great… you don’t have to rehearse, and you don’t have to do self-study!”

Thompson Miguel glanced at her, “Are you afraid of self-study?”

Moore Audrey paused for a moment, sighed:

“Not really… It’s just that I can’t settle down. Knowing that there will be such leisure time next week, I can’t sit still… I get distracted easily, so what’s the point of self-study like this?”

Thompson Miguel nodded in understanding:

“Then what role are you playing?”

Moore Audrey became proud at this point: “I’m playing a little maid, just a minor role, it’s super easy!”

Thompson Miguel nodded in acknowledgment, then suddenly asked:

“Do you want to see me perform?”

Moore Audrey paused, “See you perform? … Aren’t you not performing?”

Thompson Miguel hesitated for a moment, his dark eyes meeting hers with a hint of seriousness:

“Do you want to see?”
