“Is there something specific you desire?”“He inquired.”
“No,” she replied, shaking her head. “Only cake.”
“Only cake?”“He enquired with a smile.” She averted her gaze, fearing that she may inadvertently reveal her secret, he contemplated. He perceived Maddis’s chortle within his consciousness and appreciated her in this state.
