The Love She Never Saw Coming – Chapter 223

Ring

“…”

Leon’s house had three rooms, and since he was currently sleeping in the master bedroom, him saying she could sleep there meant he wanted her to sleep with him.

Samantha’s face flushed, “Are we going to share a room?”

Leon finally turned his head slowly towards her, “Do you think the marriage certificate is just for show?”

Samantha: “…”

“Why are you sitting so far away? Come over here.”

Perhaps it was because he was used to giving orders since childhood, his tone always carried a commanding flavor. Samantha felt a bit scared by his stern demeanor, so she obediently walked over to him. Leon reached out and pulled her onto his lap.

This time, Samantha didn’t struggle.

“Still watching TV?” he asked.

“No, I’m not.” She nestled in his arms, not daring to look up at him.

Leon used the remote to turn off the TV, picked her up, and walked towards the bedroom. Samantha remained still, being carried to the bed, and he didn’t get up, resting his hands on either side of her, looking down at her.

An ambiguous atmosphere quickly enveloped them. Samantha felt extremely shy, biting her lip and saying to him, “Um… are we moving too fast? We only said we would try it out before.”

He didn’t speak, just continued to look at her.

Samantha felt extremely uncomfortable under his gaze, not daring to meet his eyes. She turned her head to the side, unsure of what he intended to do.

After a moment of stalemate, Leon suddenly leaned down and kissed her lips, a gentle kiss, slowly sucking on her lips, then tentatively extending his tongue inside. At first, Samantha was a bit stiff, allowing him to kiss her completely. Gradually, she was led by him, instinctively responding to him.

As the kiss grew more passionate, she felt him slip something onto her finger, and only when he finished did he stop.

Samantha looked down and saw he had placed a ring on her ring finger, a diamond ring, the diamond polished into a hexagonal shape, which was her favorite. She remembered telling her classmates in high school that her wedding ring must be a six-prong setting and shaped like a hexagon.

The ring fit her finger perfectly, as if it had been custom-made for her.

“This….” Samantha was completely stunned.

“A wedding ring.” He lay down beside her, speaking in a calm tone.

“Why are you giving me this?”

“You’re my wife; shouldn’t I give it to you?”

“…”

What woman doesn’t like diamonds? Samantha was a simple person, so receiving a diamond ring naturally made her happy, especially since this ring was given to her by her newlywed husband, whom she had just thought lacked romance. But she still asked in surprise, “How did you know my finger size?” It was clear that the ring was made according to her finger size.

He turned to look at her, as if it were the most natural thing in the world, “What don’t I know about you? Have I liked you for so many years for nothing?”

“…”

“Let’s sleep; it’s getting late.”

Samantha came back to her senses and lay down beside him. He turned off the light, and the room fell silent.

It was Samantha’s first time sleeping with a man, and she felt a strange sensation. But thinking that this man was her husband, she felt there was nothing strange about it.

Samantha thought of something and asked him, “When are we having the wedding?”

“Next month.” He answered succinctly.

Next month? That felt a bit rushed, but thinking that they had already gotten the certificate, it had to be done sooner or later.

“When will we tell your parents? We should at least inform them about the marriage.”

“Tomorrow morning.”

Samantha nodded.

After a moment of silence, Leon asked again, “Do we need to go to Mapleton city?”

Samantha understood what he meant, whether they should go to Mapleton city to meet her father. She replied, “No need, we haven’t been in touch with him for a long time.”

Leon didn’t say anything further.

Soon, the surroundings fell silent again. Samantha touched the ring on her finger and couldn’t help but smile. Leon lay beside her, and after that kiss, he didn’t continue to do anything else, seemingly planning to sleep.

“When did you order this ring? We’ve only confirmed our relationship for a few days, right?”
