She observed a fleeting expression of shame on his face as his gaze met hers, accompanied by a hint of panic upon noticing Macky positioned to her left. Her eyes squinted at him before shifting to the room behind him, revealing no Dani. “Out.” She retorted, her intuition indicating that something was amiss.
“Pardon me,” he retorted.
“Robyn, I wish to speak privately with my sister.” She used the term sister to remind him that Dani was regarded as her family.
“You cannot instruct me to abandon Bella.”
“Hmm,” she turned to face Macky directly. “That is somewhat disrespectful, considering I am the Luna, is that not correct, Macky?”
“It is my Luna,” he said. “I will notify the Alpha, and appropriate punishment will be administered, likely with severity, as I believe Maddis is currently awake.”
“Please be more severe this time,” she asserted, then went back to Robyn. She felt Tyler elevate her chin and push her forward to see him, noticing the guy tense. “Leave,” she urged, even more sternly than before.
He observed him scowl at her and sensed Tyler tense, heard Macky snarl, and felt his Gamma Aura emanate from him. “You will yield to the Luna, or I will summon Maddis here in under a minute.” Do you genuinely wish to contend with your brother’s creature?”
He observed her exit the room as she entered, accompanied by Macky, who closed the door. She turned to him, giggled, and he responded with a grin, remarking, “I see you still enjoy playing games.”
Macky chuckled, “That was enjoyable. I also believe Luke and Benzy successfully pranked him this morning.” The unfortunate individual is uncertain about which direction to go.
She scoffed with amusement, “Is that the reason he informed me about them?”She sensed Tyler inhale and grimaced, “I detect the scent of blood.”
“Macky?” She interrogated him.
“I detect it, albeit not fresh.”
“Dani?” Bella shouted for her but had no response, which elicited a frown; this could not bode well. She proceeded across the suite to the bedroom and saw her seated in the centre of the bed, appearing rather anxious and bewildered. She was seated in her pyjamas, with the bed covers snugly wrapped about her.
“Something is amiss.” Macky exhaled through the mental connection to her; she is frightened, bewildered, and in distress.
Bella reclined on the bed and gazed at her. “Dani, what is the issue?””
She saw her eventually raise her gaze, tears cascading down her cheeks, “I, he
I fail to comprehend his rationale for such an action.
“What should Dani do?”She enquired.
“He expressed remorse; however…”
“He is a deceased individual, Macky,” she severed the mental connection.
“I apprehended him, ascending the stairs rapidly.”
“However?””
“He bit me, and it was quite painful; it still hurts.” Do not… what would motivate him?She was clearly disoriented and still experiencing pain, which was abnormal.
Heard Macky inhale and understood the reason.
“Demonstrate,” Bella said gently, striving to suppress any trace of fury in her tone and demeanour. Fewer than seven days remained till the full moon. Observed Dani adjust her pyjama collar and nearly grimaced at the bite mark on her designated area. It appeared recent, maybe a few hours old, and she could still observe the blood coagulated on the skin’s surface. However, there was no silver filigree on her neck.
“May I, Bella?””
She nodded with a subtle acknowledgement, not a complete affirmation, not officially designated, but it seemed probable that it had been perilously near to that state. Observed Macky lean forward and examine it closely, noted his investigation of the vicinity, and witnessed Dani’s flinch. It caused her distress. “I must formally notify the supervisor, Bella.” She was already aware of the reason; the mark was partially manifested, which was the source of Dani’s discomfort. It was incomplete.
“I will handle that myself,” she said tersely, directing her gaze at Dani. “I apologise for what he has done to you.” Robyn is about to encounter significant difficulty, Dani; this is unacceptable.
Observed her nodding slowly, “Who bites someone with such intensity?””
“Bella requires a visit to the pack hospital for blood testing.”
“Agreed.” She acknowledged him with a nod and rose to her feet. Both were aware that a partially executed bite during the full moon may potentially be fatal for Dani. He would need to Mark and Mate her completely before that time, provided Dani consented. She was completely dissatisfied. “Dani,” she addressed her. “Macky will escort you to the hospital for a blood test, understood?” She observed her nodding in response.
Gazed at Macky and said, “I will address Robyn; where is he?”
He smirked, “It appeared he ran to his mother, Luna.”
Luke saw the fury emanating from Bella, while Tyler allowed Maddis to perceive it. He was aware that she was with Macky; the man appeared indifferent to her emotions and did not attempt to restrain her.
