After Divorce, No Second Chance – Chapter 15

Thank you

The two added each other on WhatsApp, and then Layla handed Jacob two contracts, one for the membership card and one for personal training sessions.

Jacob glanced at them; they were standard contracts with no hidden traps.

“Layla, the membership card is ready.”

At that moment, Monica walked into the lounge, holding a freshly issued membership card.

“Sorry, Monica, I forgot to tell you earlier, the membership card also includes an additional thirty-five personal training sessions.”

Layla said with a smile.

“Ah?”

“Thirty-five personal training sessions?”

Monica’s mouth opened in surprise, her gaze instinctively fell on Jacob, who was calmly drinking tea with a composed expression.

Why does it feel like he looks more handsome?

Could this be the power of cash? Monica silently mused, quickly agreeing and returning to the front desk.

“Lilian, that delivery guy actually bought thirty personal training sessions!”

Although Layla said thirty-five, Monica knew it was because the customer received five extra sessions for purchasing a larger package.

“Thirty personal training sessions?”

“Monica, you must have misheard!”

Lilian was shocked; her earlier gloominess deepened.

The commission for a yearly membership is only about six hundred, but the total price for thirty personal training sessions is nine thousand dollars. At the lowest commission rate, that’s over one thousand three hundred. Today is the last day of February, and Lilian had checked Layla’s performance this morning; with this nine thousand dollars included, she had already sold over thirty thousand in personal training sessions this month, and thirty thousand is the threshold for a 15% to 20% commission.

This means that after this deal, her commission would rise to the 20% tier.

Not only would she earn one thousand eight hundred from this deal, but the previous twenty thousand would also earn her an additional 5%. Calculating this, the nine thousand dollars from the personal training sessions would bring her over three thousand in income, plus the membership commission, that’s nearly four thousand!

After calculating the value of this deal in her mind, Lilian felt completely overwhelmed.

She glanced through the lounge’s floor-to-ceiling glass; that delivery guy was still leisurely sipping tea.

Lilian felt speechless, cursing inwardly: How can a delivery guy spend 12,888 dollars on a gym membership and buy personal training sessions? Has delivering food made him lose his mind? “I really didn’t expect delivery guys to be this wealthy nowadays.”

“Lilian, you must be mistaken. That guy doesn’t really look like a delivery person; he has a certain boss-like aura about him.”

Monica placed the newly issued membership card on the card reader, skillfully modifying the data on the computer and adding in the thirty-five personal training sessions.

In the future, when Jacob comes for personal training sessions, he can just swipe his card or provide his phone number.

“I’m not mistaken, and he admitted his identity.”

Lilian shook her head and whispered, “Maybe Layla promised him something privately, which made that delivery guy willingly hand over two months’ salary!”

“Uh, that does seem possible.”

Monica didn’t really want to entertain this idea. It’s not uncommon in the fitness industry for female coaches to engage in transactional relationships with male members to sell sessions.

But Layla clearly wasn’t that kind of person. Previously, a man who pursued Lilian bought fifty personal training sessions just to please her, yet Layla treated him like a regular member without giving him any special attention.

So, it was unlikely that she would sacrifice herself for thirty personal training sessions.

“I’ll go deliver the card and let him pay. Maybe this delivery guy is just attracted to looks, and when it comes time to pay, he might back out.”

Lilian, unwilling to give up, clung to the last shred of possibility, taking the membership card and the special payment code from the front desk into the lounge.

“Mr., your card is ready.”

“Please scan here, the total is 12,888 dollars.”

As Lilian handed over the membership card, she also presented the store’s payment code.

“Thank you.”

Jacob took the membership card and calmly scanned the payment with his phone, showing no hesitation at all, as if he were spending just one dollar instead of over ten thousand.

Lilian suddenly felt a bit dazed, even thinking that this delivery guy looked somewhat handsome while scanning!

Jacob had recently fallen on hard times, but he was not someone who had never seen money before.

Spending over ten thousand was nothing to him; after all, he used to be the owner of five Best Diet restaurants, and that amount was just the daily revenue of one of his shops.

Lilian left the break room with a complex expression. Had she known it would turn out this way, she would have never pushed this delivery guy onto Layla, even if it meant death.

But he was clearly just a delivery guy, yet he was willing to spend so much money! “Mr. Jacob, are we starting our practice today?” Layla asked after Lilian left.
