Dr. Sophia – Chapter 225

Agreed

She used to be his wife, but he had rarely given her a second glance. Now, from a man’s perspective, her figure and face were flawless.

More striking was the cold aura she exuded, making her seem unapproachable.

That very aloofness stirred a sense of conquest in him. Her curves, her long, shapely legs, her pert hips—it was maddening.

Damn it! Just one look had him hard! When had her body become this incredible?

Irritated for reasons he couldn’t explain, he chased after her, calling out, “Sophia.”

Sophia paused, surprised to see her ex-husband. She greeted him with a bright smile, “Hello, ex-husband.”

Scott Henry choked for a moment, seeing her radiant smile, her gaze confident and firm, as if nothing in this world could faze her.

This kind of demeanor was something he had never seen before.

He suddenly realized that without him, Sophia was living an exceptionally good life. This realization made him very unhappy.

“Looks like you’re doing well. Tch! Living freely with the alimony you got after the divorce—must be very satisfying, huh?”

Sophia had no idea what kind of nonsense he was on about.

She was the type of person who, as long as others didn’t attack her, wouldn’t attack them.

But if someone picked a fight with her, well, sorry, she wasn’t some saint, nor was she that self-sacrificing.

She narrowed her eyes and sneered, “Of course I’m happy! Without the shackles of marriage, I can do whatever I want. No annoying husband or his irritating mistress. Life couldn’t be better.”

“You…”

“Oh, but there is one annoying thing. Occasionally, some mad dogs come barking around, and that’s just plain irritating.” She flicked her nails after finishing.

Scott Henry was furious and gritted his teeth. “Am I wrong? Can you really say that without the alimony from my family, you’d be living so freely?”

“Apologies, let me correct you. The 10 million a year I get is from the annual licensing fee for the medicinal formula. And that’s already discounted out of respect for your grandfather. Otherwise, do you think that little bit of money could appease a beggar? Stop bringing up alimony! If I remember correctly, your entire family initially wanted to kick me out with nothing. Everything I have now, I deserve.”

With that, Sophia turned and walked into the elevator with an expressionless face.

“You…” Scott Henry stared at the floor number she pressed, his brows furrowing deeply. “What are you going to the top floor for? Don’t tell me you’re really involved with Livinus! Speak! Did you already cheat on me back then?”

Sophia couldn’t be bothered to respond. “Why? Want to compare whose infidelity is worse?”

Scott Henry froze for a moment. “I’m a man! You’re a woman! How can we compare?”

“Sure, sure! Whatever you say is right. How could I ever compete with you?” Sophia rolled her eyes.

Scott Henry was livid. Though he had no evidence, he just felt that the two of them had wronged him.

Sophia could be with anyone, but Livinus…

Someone far superior to him in every way, his uncle, who wasn’t much older than him. Ever since childhood, Livinus had overshadowed him in every aspect. Even the family patriarch initially wanted to groom him, but no matter what Scott Henry did, he couldn’t surpass his uncle. He could never earn the old man’s approval. Livinus had caused him endless frustration.

How could he lose to him in this, too?

The woman he discarded, if Livinus picked her up, wouldn’t that be utterly humiliating?

Scott Henry stepped into the elevator and went to the top floor. When the doors opened, Livinus was standing there.

They both froze for a moment upon seeing each other.

“Uncle, what is Sophia doing here?” Scott Henry sounded like a jealous husband catching an affair, his anger boiling over. “I can’t think of any reasonable explanation.”

Livinus gave him a cold glance.

“Do I need to explain my actions to you?”

Scott Henry fumed, but then saw Sophia walk past them, smiling and greeting Joanna, leaving the two men standing there.

Scott Henry’s face burned with anger. “Uncle, Sophia is my ex-wife.”

Livinus smirked coldly. “She’s just an ex-wife. I thought it was something significant.”

With that, he turned and left, leaving Scott Henry standing there like an idiot, under the watchful eyes of all the staff.

After he left, the secretaries began whispering among themselves.

“They’re divorced, so why is Scott Henry still acting like this? He even has a child with Olivia now, yet he’s still pestering his ex-wife.”

 “Yeah, shameless!”

“If you ask me, President Scott likes a challenge. Of all the women he could have, he chose his nephew’s ex-wife. That’s… something else.”

“I think President Scott’s actions are very manly!”

“That’s why he’s the boss! Just look at President Scott’s aura!”

 —

The table was already set with food containers. Sophia was busy with work, and Livinus was even busier.

Today, Livinus had asked her to come and eat with him, so she agreed.
