Sam Noah turned to Thelma and said, “Come here.”
Thelma thought her husband was really handsome, so handsome that it made people both admire and resent him. He appeared just when she needed him the most; he was simply her guardian angel.
Thelma was so excited that she hurried over to him, her heart and eyes filled with him.
Sam Noah wrapped his arms around her waist and asked, “Are you scared?”

Sam Noah took her hand and left without a care for anyone else. The bodyguards he brought also covered the others as they left. The villagers, fearing the guns in their hands, dared not approach.
After arriving at the foot of the mountain, Thelma called the police. After reporting, she couldn’t help but worry, “Will your bodyguards be okay with guns on them?”

Connor turned his head mechanically to look at her, and it took him several seconds to recognize her. He forced a smile and said, “Yes, it’s her.”

“What is the situation now? Was she taken by those people?”

“They denied that they took Sharon. They only said they found her on the road. When they found her, her finger was already broken, and she had become mentally unstable. They didn’t mind her condition and even let their son marry her.”
Thelma was furious upon hearing this. “What did Sharon say?”
“What could she say? She’s already lost her mind and only knows how to laugh foolishly.”
“…” Thelma felt something was off. “But when we were in the village, those villagers clearly wanted to target the girls.”
Connor sneered, “They only admit to wanting to rob for money, not to abduct people.”
