Her gaze fell on the ice cream box on the table; pausing for a moment, she asked in confusion:
“Aren’t you going to eat?”
Taylor Callum paused, opened his mouth as if to say something, but the young girl playfully stuck out her tongue in apology first:
“Sorry… it really isn’t the right time to eat ice cream this late…”
After a slight pause, she continued:
“Although it’s a bit melted… you can put it in the fridge and eat it tomorrow!”Taylor Callum closed his mouth, softly replied “mm,” and got up to take the box to the kitchen.
After putting it away and turning back, he saw the young girl frowning at her phone, and his steps halted:
“What’s wrong?”
Jade looked up at his words, embarrassedly smiled, and said:
“My phone ran out of battery and shut down…”
Taylor Callum paused for a moment, then quickly replied:
“I have a charger, do you want to charge it?”
Jade was taken aback, staring at him blankly: “Is that okay?”
The man nodded, glanced at her phone, and as he turned, he tossed out, “Wait for me…”
Jade dazedly responded with an “ah.”
Soon, the man returned with a charger in hand, handed it to her, and pointed to the location of the socket.
Jade nodded and followed his instructions to find a place to charge her phone.
After that, both of them fell into a bit of silence, unable to find anything to say, just sitting there. Jade couldn’t help but steal glances at the male idol.
Inside, she regretted being so impulsive today.
It wasn’t right to bring warmth to the male idol at such a late hour…
Still feeling regretful, the man suddenly spoke from a distance:
“Want to play a game?”
Jade was startled and responded, then realized, pointing at her phone:
“My phone is still charging…”
The man smiled at her, raising an eyebrow:
“Did you forget what I endorsed?”
Jade was stunned for a moment, then suddenly realized:
“Oh… that phone!”
The man smiled, nodded, and got up to go into the inner room.
“Wait a moment…”
Jade obediently nodded.
The man came out and handed her a phone, the most attractive model from his endorsed series, which she heard had sold out. Jade couldn’t help but exclaim in surprise.
The man smiled at her.
Unable to resist teasing her, he said, “If you like it, I’ll give it to you…” pausing for a moment, as if thinking of something, he added:
“I can also sign my name on the back for you!”
Jade immediately stood up, waving her hands:
“No need… no need… I was just expressing my admiration!”
The man, however, seemed to have made up his mind and smiled.
After asking the young girl what she wanted to play, they played two rounds of a game. Jade was completely laid back; although she was excited to play games with the male idol, the only strange thing was… she felt the male idol’s account was a bit familiar, even though it wasn’t… the one she had uncovered.
But this account, she really felt like she had seen it somewhere!
After finishing the game, the young girl glanced at the time on her phone and realized it was nearly ten o’clock. Suddenly panicking, she quickly got up, returned the phone to the male idol, and asked for a signature before planning to go home.
However, the man took the phone and stood up, looking at her:
“It’s too late now, I’ll take you…”
Jade was startled and hurriedly refused:
“No need… what if there are paparazzi!”
The man, however, was very firm:
“No, it’s too late now. I can’t let a young girl take a taxi alone. As for the paparazzi… it’s fine… they don’t always get headlines for me…”
Saying this, the man couldn’t help but reach out and ruffle the young girl’s hair.
Jade dazedly nodded and turned to grab her phone.
After waiting outside for a while, when the man came out again, he was fully geared up, with a mask, hat, and clothes.
Jade nodded reassuringly, walking ahead as they exited. As soon as she stepped outside, she shivered and couldn’t help but touch her arms.
She didn’t expect it to be so cold tonight.
Just as she was about to take another step forward, she suddenly felt something dark above her head, and when she realized it, her body warmed up.
A warm coat was draped over her shoulders.
