A little later, standing under the shower, the water cascading down, Lola’s worries continued.
If he really wanted her, should she gently refuse? What should she do?
Lost in thought, Lola ended up taking quite a while to come out of the bathroom.
Dylan seemed quite tired, lying on the bed with his eyes tightly closed, dressed in his bathrobe. His chest rose and fell gently, and he was probably asleep.
Lola approached the bed cautiously, afraid he might wake up. Sitting beside him in her bathrobe, she stared intently at his sleeping face as if entranced.
Having been very close to Gia, she had known him for a total of 14 years. However, during that long time, if she didn’t see him from a distance, they would just exchange light greetings when they passed each other. This was the first time she was examining his face so closely.
Despite being a man, his skin was smooth and clean. He had thick, dark eyebrows, lush eyelashes, delicate features, deep and distinct eyes, a high and straight nose, and clearly defined lips. He was truly the epitome of a perfect man.
So, I’m dating this perfect man?
It was a bit hard to believe. She wanted to touch his handsome face. It seemed like that would make it feel more real, so without realizing how dangerous her actions were, Lola hesitantly reached out her hand.
At that moment.
As if it were a lie, he opened his eyes and asked.
“What are you doing?”
Lola froze like a stone at his seemingly cold gaze.
“Lola?”
She needed to respond, but her voice wouldn’t come out due to her nervousness. Lola’s lips just trembled.
“I asked you.”
When her answer was delayed, Dylan slightly furrowed his brows. Finally, a small mumble escaped her trembling lips.
“You’re just so handsome… I wanted to touch your face once.”
To hide her flushed face, Lola buried her head deep down.
What would he think? He would probably think she was being lewd.
Ah! How embarrassing!
She felt like she wanted to hide in a mouse hole.
After a moment of silence,
“You must be really tired today, so let’s sleep.”
Dylan didn’t ask any more questions and turned to his side, making space for her. Afraid to meet his gaze, Lola didn’t dare lift her head and awkwardly climbed into bed.
Dylan raised an eyebrow as he looked at her, lying on her side, keeping some distance and facing away from him.
She definitely seemed to be afraid of him.
Yet, Dylan was very curious about why she kept engaging in risky behavior. It was also amusing.
Dylan turned her body with both hands so that she was facing him.
Lola’s heart raced.
His handsome face was right in front of her. The sound of his breath tickled her cheek. Since the lamp was still on, she could see his face clearly as soon as she opened her eyes.
“Lola, do you regret saying you wanted to sleep with me?”
There was no answer, but instead, Lola’s tightly closed eyelashes fluttered. One corner of Dylan’s mouth lifted slightly.
“Lola, I know you’re not sleeping. So don’t pretend to sleep and open your eyes.”
Ah, this man seems determined to keep her awake tonight.
Why did I foolishly poke the nose of a sleeping lion?
With a face full of regret, Lola slowly lifted her eyelids. His dark, expressionless eyes were looking at her, unreadable.
Thump, thump!
Her heart raced so fast that Lola felt dizzy.
“Lola, do you know that you sometimes engage in risky behavior?”
His gaze was serious, filled with desire. She wanted to pull back in fear, but she was trapped by his hands and legs, unable to move.
“I won’t do it again…”
“Yeah. I think it’s better if you don’t.”
As Dylan spoke, he tucked a strand of hair that had fallen over her face behind her ear.
Everywhere his hand touched, Lola felt a hot energy spreading through her body as if she were on fire. It felt so strange that she bit her lower lip. Dylan brushed his fingers over her lips.
“Why did you ask me to hug you last time?”
“I was curious about what it would feel like to be in a man’s arms. I’ve never been hugged by a man before.”
The last part was almost a whisper, but Dylan understood it clearly. He pulled her tightly against him and said,
“I hope that feeling isn’t bad.”
Lola didn’t respond, but she didn’t push him away either.
Dylan felt strange yet wonderful as he watched Lola bury her face in his chest, breathing softly.
He still didn’t know exactly what his feelings for her were.
He had avoided physical contact with other women. Yet, he didn’t understand why he felt comfortable and good being with Lola.
Not only that, but he could kiss her without any hesitation, and even now, holding her like this didn’t feel awkward at all.
No, to be honest, his body reacted first when he saw her.
He didn’t know why.
This was quite a problem.
