Women’s First Place… Celine Wood. Is this my Celine? I perceive my heart beginning to accelerate. I did not anticipate her to be a rival. Her time is 11.03 seconds. That is exceedingly rapid. I gaze at first place for a moment before recalling that I need to assess my pack’s performance. I review the list and note that the 3rd and 5th entries are from my pack.
I proceed to the subsequent station – the wolf form races. I examine the women’s results first, contemplating whether Celine’s name will appear on the board once more. Indeed, first place: Celine Wood. It resembles a blade piercing the chest. I hope she is not a combatant. I doubt I could endure it if she embodied all my desires.
I have consistently perceived my companion as feeble, akin to my mother. I believed that if I could not have my destined mate, my Luna would at least be a formidable warrior. I proceed to the log throws and do not observe her name on the board.
I am relieved. I proceed to the combat arena, where four matches are concurrently taking place. Two males and two females. I can perceive her scent. I observe the board and do not find her name listed, resulting in a wave of relief coursing through me. She is likely merely a proficient runner. Her size is relatively modest, thus my heart is likely secure from total devastation. I observe Paxton and Alexis on the stands, observing the fights, thus I accompany them.
“What is your current state?” Paxton reveals, “Your mother informed us about your friend.”
“Indeed, she did.” I exhale in exasperation. “I am well,” I deceive them.
“Let us locate a formidable warrior for you, Luna, shall we?” “Alexis states.” I laugh softly and acknowledge with a nod.
After a 45-minute observation, the audience is informed, “The individuals who have progressed to this stage will now compete against the highest-ranked fighters from each group.”
“This is the point at which matters become intriguing,” I concede.
Subsequently, I detect her scent once more. She is nearer than she previously was. I observe a woman approaching the ring. Her hair is styled in a bun, and she appears robust and athletic.
She is attired in blue leggings and a blue sports bra. I observe a woman clad in an oversized black hoodie with the hood up, carrying a small backpack. She strides assertively towards the other woman. She discards her bag and removes her shoes. She removes her hoodie, revealing two French braids, and is attired in black leggings and a black sports bra. I observe her flawless physique. Her defined abdominal muscles and curvaceous buttocks. It is she. profanity. Is she among their leading fighters? What on earth?
“Indeed, she is attractive,” Paxton remarks.I snarl and direct a lethal glare at him. The bout commences, and Celine appears assured; the contest is exceedingly swift. She attempted to strike Celine, who adeptly evaded and defended herself. Suddenly, the other girl is propelled onto her back, leaving her breathless.
Celine does not assume the dominant position. She merely remains stationary and awaits. Indeed, after 10 seconds, the girl remains prostrate, disoriented and struggling to regain her breath. Immediately upon the conclusion of the fight, Celine assists her opponent in rising. I observe on the board that they do not originate from the same pack. She is merely exhibiting kindness. Expletive! What accounts for her perfection?
“That was impressive.” “If you do not pursue that individual, I will,” Alexis asserts, gazing at her with a smile. Celine dons her shoes and hoodie and retrieves her bag. She begins to depart, and then she notices me. Our gazes intersect briefly, and I instruct myself to avert my eyes. It required an additional second or two longer than I desired, but I summoned the fortitude to avert my gaze from her.
Alexis gazes at me, stating, “If you do not desire her, I am departing,” as he leaps off the stands. I seize his arm and pull forcefully. Difficult.
“What on earth, man?””
“Do not speak to her… That is her,” I utter, and his eyes widen.
“I was unaware.” excrement. “Apologies, Cohen.” She proceeds to two stands and takes a seat to observe the forthcoming match.
