He dried himself and leaned against the washbasin, gazing at his reflection in the mirror. He had expelled a lady who loved him and was carrying his children. He was destined to be remembered in the annals of this pack as the most foolish Alpha to have ever ruled. He was exceedingly fortunate that she reinstated him.
It is not surprising that a part of her had struggled to remain apart; his father had informed him that it was due to her fear of Mia. What if another aspect of her had been shattered by him, leading her to desire never to see him again?
She was now bonded to a man who had inflicted pain upon her, deserted her, and exiled her, forcing her to survive alone and defenceless due to his actions. She lost all those she had known and cherished in an instant. Due of his egocentric behaviour towards her. Struck his own reflection and fractured the mirror.
He sighed loudly as rain fell in countless jagged pieces over the vanity, into the sink and into the floor surrounding him. He distanced himself from the washbasin and exited the ensuite to attire himself and cleanse the blood from his knuckles. He mentally contacted his personal omega and requested her assistance in cleaning the smashed mirror in the bathroom.
She promptly arrived with an empty box, a dustpan, and a broom. Gestured her inside the suite and expressed gratitude for her presence after hours.
Noticed that all three youngsters were observing her as she traversed the suite’s living area towards the master bedroom, then encountered three pairs of eyes fixed on him. “I shattered the mirror; she is merely here to rectify it.” He informed them to dispel any misunderstanding over a female entering their parents’ bedroom who was not their mother.
He had plenty issues to contend with at present and did not require Karis or the daughters, for that matter, to believe he was unfaithful to their mother. Karis should not harbour any further animosity against him beyond what currently exists.
Luke opened the dining room door to ascertain whether she had concluded her phone call. Bella was seated at the kitchen counter, having concluded her call. The phone was positioned before her on the counter. He desired to enquire whether she had terminated her relationship with Tim but refrained from doing so. The man was overheard shouting about marriage, to which her response was, “When you ask me.”
He pondered whether Bella harboured affection for the human and, now that she was bonded to him, if she had to grapple with the existence of two loves in her heart. That may have been the reason she excluded him, becoming increasingly irritated and enraged with him. She had not yet disclosed the reason for her anger.
Is everything satisfactory?“He enquired instead.”
She nodded, however averted her gaze from him, fixating on an empty space across the kitchen. He was uncertain whether that indicated she had terminated her connection with Tim. “Enquire with her?”Maddis fired directly at him.
“Disregard it, Maddis; you advised me against provoking her.” He saw his beast retreating. The indecisive wolf appeared to be experiencing internal turmoil at this moment.
‘I shattered the bathroom mirror; Misty has arrived to rectify the situation’. He informed her, seeing her turn and direct her gaze towards him.
“What is the severity of your temper?” I do not remember you had one during your upbringing.
She remarked that it was throughout her upbringing, not when they were in a relationship. “There are days when it can become unmanageable…I will not deceive you.” He halted mid-sentence, unable to mention the grounds for her expulsion.
Observed her lift an eyebrow at him, uncertain whether it was due to his abstention from mentioning Mia’s name or his assertion that it had spiralled out of control: “It is presently under control.” Maddis is mostly the issue when he becomes agitated. I am unable to consistently restrain him.
“I wish to prevent the children from witnessing that.”
“I concurred and have informed him.” Although I have observed that he is readily pacified by Tyler’s presence, he was quite irate this afternoon, and I found it challenging to contain him within myself. Benzy escorted you inside the room, and Maddis significantly relaxed.
“However?””
“Successfully exerted influence over me to reach her.” At times, he is a formidable presence. Emerges from me at will, primarily when I am really agitated.
“It is beneficial to be informed.” Bella said. “I would like to identify what irritates him to circumvent it, if possible.” I am uncertain about my ability to manage it, to be candid with you.
He gazed directly at her; she was uncertain how to respond, contemplating whether a part of her still harboured fear towards him, having witnessed that aspect of his character. It was feasible. He could only respond to her inquiry candidly, stating, “Numerous factors, primarily pack-related threats; you do not provoke him; rather, your presence tends to soothe him.” He smiled slightly at her, adding, “He enjoys observing you, simply… sitting and gazing at you.” He shook his head slightly, remarking, “He behaves somewhat differently in your presence, which is quite unlike what I am accustomed to, but it is a positive change.” He will not tolerate anyone causing you harm, of that I am certain. He will likely extract himself from me and assume complete control if he perceives any threat to you.
“Unattractive, in other terms.”
“Not for those who intend to harm you.” He shook his head. “He is an Alpha Wolf, and I envision that death will arrive quickly and violently for anyone who threatens his Mate.”
She was unable to convey the truth of the situation to Tim over the phone, since he deserved better than that. Bella informed him about her prior communication with Ben, stating that she needed to go to visit her mother following a severe injury. A stunned quiet ensued; evidently, he had not yet communicated with Ben, likely occupied in court throughout the day, and maybe still engaged, only on a break due to the time difference between this location and his.
She had never referenced her family in his presence, nor had she done so for the entirety of her acquaintanceship; she had not spoken of a mother or father, nor had she ever alluded to having a sibling. All others in her vicinity were convinced that she lacked familial connections. He was indistinguishable.
