He wondered whether she was just irritated with him, considering it was his unit that had brought her here.
I observed Macky nod and state that she would come, although she also mentioned that given the proximity to Christmas, she was uncertain if Nora would arrive immediately. Values family highly.
“Did you assign men to oversee her?”It was something of a frivolous inquiry. No wolf would abandon his unmarked and unmated partner in the world.
“Indeed, the four I assigned to Bella are now covertly monitoring Nora.” He nodded, “I will receive updates every four hours.”
“Understood.” I am confident that Bella can persuade her.
“If not.” I seek authorisation to return and pursue a romantic relationship with her in a conventional manner.
Luke exhaled, “I require your presence, Macky.”
“Father possesses significantly greater experience with Bella than I do.”
Luke scowled at his Gamma; he realised the man’s necessity to retrieve his human Mate, although he was Bella’s Gamma and quite proficient. They had been lifelong friends until her departure, sharing a profound relationship. Luke assumed this was the reason the man excelled in his profession.
He was uncertain whether Macky’s father, Zac, would be equally effective. He was uncertain of the extent to which he could influence or connect with her, as Macky could. Recognised that her tie with Macky was robust; their childhood friendship had established a solid connection. She had a lifetime bond with her Gamma. Not particularly to the man’s father.
“Kindly await the results of the phone call initially.”
Macky scowled at him now. “Kindly remind Bella to make the call today.”
“I will remind her,” he affirmed. “Is Nora well?””
“Indeed, no one present was aware of her significance to me.” No other packs are around her at all. She is now secure.
“Excellent, we will admit her at the earliest opportunity, Macky.”
Bella refused to dine with her parents in the pack-house eating area. She had not yet addressed them and remained displeased with both. Had not yet confronted them, although it was necessary to do so eventually. It was included in her list of tasks. She was aware of their discontent; she had been forthright with them when her mother had telepathically enquired why not.
I informed her, “I do not wish to.” I remain displeased with you and papa. “There will be no dinners until we address your actions,” and then cut the connection. They would have to confront the situation. She allowed her mother to attire her for the dinner with Luke, but at that moment, she was only relieved that her mother was well and perplexed about being presented to the guy himself. Moreover, Tyler had assumed the responsibility of mating his wolf. I have no influence over the matter whatsoever.
