“Do you even realize how rude you are? I think I told you to speak nicely last time.”
Dylan warned her sternly, lowering his voice.
When he felt displeased or angry, he became even calmer and lowered his voice, and that was Dylan Eve.
– I’m in a really bad mood because of that vixen-like woman. So how can I speak nicely?
“Gia Eve, I don’t have time to argue with you. Just get to the point!”
As Gia spoke in an irritating manner, Dylan rubbed his throbbing temples.
– That strange woman, Nia Aliza or whatever, came to see Lola this afternoon.
“What? Who came to see whom?”
– Are you deaf?
“Hey! I warned you to speak nicely!”
Dylan growled.
A moment of silence passed over the phone.
After a while, Dylan asked calmly.
“Why did Nia Aliza come to see Lola? What for?”
– I want to know too, so I’m asking you. Why on earth did that woman come to see Lola?
“Got it, so just hang up the phone for now.”
If the conversation dragged on, he felt like his blood pressure would rise and his neck would hurt.
Dylan ended the call first with that remark.
It was clear that Nia Aliza’s visit to Lola wouldn’t bring any good news.
But why?
There are so many strange women in the world.
He couldn’t understand why Nia Aliza would do something so foolish unless she was out of her mind.
He really disliked women who obsessively cling to someone who doesn’t want them.
Dylan picked up his phone to call Lola but then stopped.
He felt that explaining and interpreting everything had become enough after one or two times. If he explained every little detail every time, it would likely backfire. Moreover, from what he had observed so far, Lola wouldn’t be easily swayed by a few words from Nia. He had that much faith. So, Dylan put the phone down and didn’t send Lola a single message until the next day.
It has been a day and a half since Nia Aliza came to the hospital and left.
During lunchtime, Gia and Lola sat across from each other in the hospital cafeteria, and Gia casually opened her mouth.
After a flurry of emergency patients had come in all at once, it was only now that she had a little time to ask.
“Hey, that Nia Aliza or whatever, what nonsense did she say to you? I can only imagine it was something weird.”
It wasn’t really a laughing matter, but Gia’s exaggerated frown while cursing Nia Aliza was so ridiculous that Lola burst out laughing.
“Ugh, it’s so annoying! Suddenly, this fly-like woman shows up and ruins my mood.”
Just then, as if on cue, a fly buzzed in, and Gia waved her hand dismissively.
“This damn fly reminds me of someone. You should just go with that one.”
Lola laughed even harder than before. Gia swung her chopsticks around, making a buzzing sound to chase the fly away.
“Come on, tell me. What nonsense did that strange woman say to you?”
The woman did indeed say something close to nonsense.
She claimed that Lola didn’t suit a cold and prickly guy like Dylan.
She said it as if she were considering a cat and a mouse.
Could it be that she was jealous because she thought Lola was dating Dylan Eve?
Maybe that was possible.
Thinking of Nia Aliza made Lola’s heart flutter, but she tried to ignore it and pretended to be fine.
“To be honest, Dylan is so perfect that it’s hard to find a flaw. So, I think there must have been a lot of girls who liked him.”
“Even so, it’s completely useless. He doesn’t even give them a glance.”
That seemed to be true.
So, despite being so handsome and capable, he had never been in a relationship until now.
“I think that woman seemed to have an interest in Dylan. That day, she just got a prescription for sleeping pills.”
Lola vaguely mumbled, not entirely truthfully, as she scooped rice with her spoon. Gia carefully examined Lola’s face, as if trying to read her thoughts.
“Did you meet Big Brother yesterday?”
Gia asked because it seemed Dylan hadn’t come to see Lola since Nia Aliza had left. Lola shook her head.
“Are you meeting him today?”
“I’m not sure about today. Dylan seems to be a bit busy.”
Lola’s face looked slightly dark.
“Didn’t he contact you?”
“If he’s busy, he might not be able to contact me.”
Ever since Nia Aliza had come and gone, for some reason, Dylan had completely stopped contacting her.
For a day and a half, he hadn’t even sent a single message, let alone come to see her.
She felt anxious, but Lola reassured herself that Dylan might just be too busy to reach out.
“Oh my! He’s always busy. Does he think he’s doing everything in the world by himself? Is he Iron Man? Superman? I really don’t like it when Dear acts like this.”
