Alice squinted her eyes slightly, a mix of embarrassment and a smile on her lips.
“Tied up looks better.”
Huh?
Alice suddenly lifted her face, which had been lowered in embarrassment.
Her heart was fluttering.
She must have misheard.
She must have eaten honey with the bear on her apron. Otherwise, such sweet words couldn’t come from Ryan’s mouth.
“Your face is smaller than I thought, it must be smaller than my hand?”
Ryan suddenly thrust his palm towards Alice’s face.
With his palm flat in front of her, Ryan raised his eyebrows.
“It’s bigger than your hand.”
Ryan flashed a playful smile and brushed past Alice.
As she blinked in surprise, a flush crept onto Alice’s face.
As soon as she got home, the deep gaze that scanned her, the sweet words, the sudden palm thrust, and the playful killer smile.
Whatever happened outside, Ryan seemed to be in a great mood.
“What’s going on?”
Just a few words from Ryan sent a gentle vibration through her chest.
Alice shook her head with her eyes tightly closed, tapping one cheek.
What’s wrong with you, Alice Wesley! Get a grip!
Ryan must have acted without any thought or meaning.
“Oh, right.”
Ryan turned his head as he was about to enter the room.
“Put this in the fridge for me.”
A shopping bag was swaying from the wrist he raised towards Alice.
“What is this?”
“I bought beef to grill for dinner.”
It seemed Ryan had also thought about the menu after Alice suggested dinner. He didn’t come home empty-handed.
“Then we should grill it right away!”
Alice’s eyes sparkled at the mention of beef.
Ryan looked at her as if he found it amusing and chuckled.
“You said you prepared dinner.”
“I’m going to eat beef too.”
Alice immediately waved her hands at Ryan’s words.
“We can eat it together with the Army Based Stew. They go well together, don’t they? We can’t just keep the expensive beef from the department store in the fridge. It’ll be ready in 15 minutes. Do you want to wash up?”
Alice clutched the shopping bag as if she couldn’t let it go.
It was a determination to eat the beef no matter what.
Noticing Alice’s intent, Ryan didn’t try to dissuade her any further.
“I’ll wash up, so do whatever you want with the meat.”
Ryan left her with the words she wanted to hear and went into the room.
Alice began to finish up her cooking again.
Hum hum-.
A tune flowed from her lips. The taste of the Army Based Stew she had sampled was exquisite.
Take that, the Army Based Stew sold outside!
Alice took out the side dishes from the fridge, placed them on a plate, and finally put the cooked rice in a bowl on the table.
“Why isn’t he coming out yet?”
It felt strange. It was like waiting for a husband who wouldn’t come out of his study.
Knock knock-.
“Vice President, it’s time to eat.”
I feel like my belly is sticking to my back.
At Alice’s knock, the door opened. Ryan was holding a different shopping bag than before.
The shopping bag was once again thrust towards Alice.
“What’s this?”
“Wine.”
Inside the long shopping bag was a bottle of wine tied with a ribbon.
“I thought you liked wine.”
Ah… but Army-Based Stew goes with Soju.
It seemed he remembered how she had been sipping wine at the restaurant, saying it was delicious.
“We can’t drink without wine. But Army Based Stew goes with Soju.”
Alice took a bottle of Soju from the fridge and placed it on the table with a thud.
“Did you have Soju at home?”
Ryan was surprised by the sudden appearance of Soju since he usually enjoyed whiskey.
“I bought it at the convenience store on the way.”
It was a thoroughly prepared dinner, even with alcohol.
Ryan brought out a mini grill from somewhere.
“You can’t grill meat, Yoo Secretary.”
Ryan stood up again and took the beef that was in front of Alice towards himself. He picked up the tongs as if he was going to grill.
“How did you know?”
“You look like you can’t grill. With such small hands, you wouldn’t be able to hold the tongs properly.”
With the wine glasses placed next to the mini grill, it made for quite a decent setup. She regretted not lighting candles as well.
“Try this before the Army Based Stew gets cold. It’s so delicious, don’t fall over.”
“If it’s not good, I won’t eat it.”
“Just try it first and then say.”
Ryan confidently took a spoonful of the Army Based Stew and swallowed.
“…It’s not bad.”
Saying it’s not bad, Ryan didn’t stop eating.
“Is that all? It’s really delicious, isn’t it?”
