While hoeing, he asked, “How’s Scott Richard doing?”
“With Dr. Smith’s formula, there’s no issue. However, Scott Richard hasn’t been home for several days. He’s been spending all his time with Ms. Emily, and it seems he’s genuinely interested in her.”
Livinus’s lips curled into a mocking smile. “Someone like him, even if he’s moved by emotions, it’s always calculated.”
Felix and Joanna stayed silent.
“Keep an eye on him. How’s the acquisition of the Galaxy herbal tea company coming along?”
“It’s almost finalized. This herbal tea brand is locally well-known, but it hasn’t been able to expand beyond Galaxy. Over the years, their scale hasn’t grown at all, and their poor advertising has led to a decline in sales. Even locally, their revenue has been dropping year after year. The owner is sincere about his business and genuinely wants to promote herbal tea, but he hasn’t been able to make it successful. When he learned Scott Corporation wanted to acquire it, he didn’t haggle over the price and only hoped we could expand the brand.”
Livinus spread the seeds over the soil, covering them lightly, and said, “He’s a dedicated businessman, worthy of respect. Since that’s the case, finalize the deal quickly. I want to see our herbal tea fully launched on the market by next year.”
“Understood!”
Joanna couldn’t help but stare at Livinus with curiosity. It was strange—she, who had never farmed before, wouldn’t even know how to hold a hoe properly. Maybe if someone demonstrated, she could learn. But Livinus, without any guidance, seemed to have mastered farming techniques. Truly, he was a genius!
When they had gone, Livinus leisurely pulled out his phone.
On the screen, a livestream teaching farming techniques was still playing.

At noon, Sophia returned home for lunch. Approaching her door, she noticed that her garden had been completely tidied. The seeds had been sown, the weeds removed, and the entire plot was meticulously organized.
Chili plants had their own space, scallions theirs, and lettuce theirs. The once-neglected garden had been transformed into a well-ordered, clean space, with each type of vegetable occupying its designated area.
The chili plants didn’t intrude on the scallion patch, and the garlic didn’t overshadow the lettuce.
Sophia was deeply impressed!
She had wanted to manage the garden well, but her busy schedule often prevented her from doing so. In just a few hours, Livinus had turned the space into a perfectly arranged plot.
As expected of someone who managed a massive corporation—even when managing a small piece of land, he outperformed the average person.
Just as she was marveling at his work, her phone rang. It was Logan.
“Sophia,” came his warm voice.
Sophia smiled. “Logan.”
Logan chuckled. “How formal! It’s been a few days, and now you’ve gone from calling me Brother Logan to Logan?”
Sophia smiled politely. Since she had agreed to give Livinus a trial period, she didn’t want to entangle herself with other men.
Moreover, while Logan was a good person, they didn’t seem to share much common ground.
If it were any other woman, it would be normal to develop feelings for such an outstanding man.
“Not at all. Did you need something, Brother Logan?”
“I was wondering if you’d join me for dinner.”
Sophia was about to refuse when he added, “You already turned me down last time. Surely you don’t want to hurt my feelings again, do you?”
Feeling a bit guilty, Sophia hesitated for a moment, just as her phone was suddenly taken from her.
Looking up, she saw Livinus standing behind her, his expression like a man catching his wife cheating.
“Are you thinking about falling for someone else?” he asked, frowning.
“What?”
“Or perhaps trying to juggle two men at once?”
“Of course not!”
“Then stay away from men who clearly don’t have good intentions toward you,” Livinus said coldly. “If you don’t know how, I’ll teach you.”
He then spoke into the phone. “Logan?”
On the other end, Logan tightened his grip on the phone. “Livinus?”
Livinus’s lips curved slightly, his tone as calm as ever. “Since Logan wants to invite my girlfriend to dinner, I wouldn’t want to deny you the chance. How about this—Sophia and I invite you to our home for a meal?”
Logan gritted his teeth in frustration before finally replying, “If Boss Livinus invites, I’ll certainly attend.”
With that, Livinus hung up the phone without a trace of emotion.
