The Love She Never Saw Coming – Chapter 92

Sun

The sun in Ashbourne was strong, and Sam Noah held an umbrella, but most of it was over Thelma. She wore a white beach dress today, while Sam Noah dressed casually in a short-sleeved shirt and shorts. However, he was tall and fit, making even this beach attire look stylish and cool.

With his short sleeves, a large part of his shoulder was exposed, and Thelma felt a bit concerned, saying to him, “You should tilt the umbrella a bit more towards you; otherwise, you’ll get sunburned, and it won’t feel good.”

He didn’t take it seriously, “I’m a guy; it doesn’t matter. You, with your delicate skin, getting sunburned would be worse.”

Her Sam Noah was truly graceful and caring, and Thelma felt so comforted and moved. She noticed many couples around, so she thought of them as being on a date too.

Suddenly, Thelma felt a wave of sweetness wash over her heart, a very sweet kind, sweet enough to be overwhelming.

As they walked along, Thelma bought many souvenirs, including a necklace made of shells and freshly harvested pearls.

Passing by a mask shop, Thelma saw a rabbit mask that looked interesting; it seemed to be a dark version of a rabbit, the mask crafted to look fierce. She picked out three: one small and two large.

She put the mask on her face and showed it to Sam Noah, “What do you think? Isn’t it fun? There are three here, just right for our family of three. From now on, we’ll be the rabbit spirit family.”

She took off the mask and smiled at him. The sun was blazing overhead, and Sam Noah suddenly felt a bit dizzy. Her smile lit up her eyes, sparkling as if she had captured the sun’s rays, and the two shallow dimples at the corners of her mouth were truly enchanting.

So cute, he wanted to kiss her.

Thelma quickly noticed the strange look in his eyes and cautiously probed, “What’s wrong? Do you think it looks bad?”

Sam Noah came back to his senses, half-clenching his fist and clearing his throat, “It looks good; buy it.”

He helped her buy the mask, but Sam Noah’s thoughts showed no signs of fading. He couldn’t directly say he wanted to kiss her, as that would make him seem too eager.

Thelma looked at the mask she had just bought, growing fonder of it, but suddenly Sam Noah said, “Did you learn what I taught you yesterday?”

“Mm?” Thelma was momentarily taken aback, staring at him blankly, but she quickly understood what he meant.

What he taught her yesterday?

Thelma’s face instantly turned red. She lowered her head and whispered, “I… I almost learned it.”

“I’ll test you.”

“……”

Test? How could she be tested in public? And why did he say it so calmly, as if he were testing whether she could chop vegetables or cook, rather than how to kiss?

Thelma felt her cheeks grow even hotter, “There are… a lot of people here…”

As soon as she finished speaking, her small hand was grabbed by Sam Noah, who pulled her forward quickly, bypassing the fishing village and walking through a grove of palm trees until they reached the base of a coconut tree. This area was a dense grove of coconut trees, the harsh sunlight blocked out. Sam Noah set the umbrella down, tossing the various souvenirs they had bought on top.

He smiled at her and said, “There’s no one here.”

How could he be so calm?

Even though they had kissed once yesterday, she was still nervous about kissing him again. Although he was dressed casually, he still exuded a captivating aura, not losing out to someone in a suit.

Though she was nervous, her Sam Noah was truly attractive.
Thelma slowly moved closer, her hands wrapping around his neck. His breath instantly filled her senses, and the area where her arms brushed against his body felt warm, perhaps from the sun.
