He truly was a wonderful man, an exceptionally qualified husband and father.
The more she looked at him, the more delighted she became, the more she respected him, and the more she… liked him.
The next day, Thelma threw herself into work. Since the studio had already started operating, she naturally wanted to get it on the right track as soon as possible. Fortunately, her two partners, aside from being a bit aloof, were very efficient in their work.
Phoenix planned to produce a new song for Mira during the winter break, with Thelma responsible for the lyrics and melody, while Phoenix would handle the post-production arrangement and synthesis, and Mira would be in charge of singing.
However, Thelma had her own concerns, “The winter break is a great time; there will definitely be many singers releasing new songs then. If we choose to release a new song at this time, can we stand out?”
Phoenix crossed her arms and looked at her sideways, “Am I the kind of person who fears competition?”
That’s true; with a big shot like her, Thelma felt reassured and just focused on doing her job well!
For several days in a row, Thelma either stayed in the studio or worked at home, completing the music scores. During this time, she also secured a collaboration with a music platform, and everything was going smoothly.
In fact, the music scores and lyrics were already prepared; she just needed to polish them a bit. So, within just a few days, she completed her part of the work, leaving the rest to Phoenix and Mira.
Even though she had little to do now, she still went to the studio every day to help out.
Finally, after half a month, everything was completed.
After listening to it three times and confirming there were no issues, Phoenix finally let out a sigh of relief, “Alright, we can upload the song tomorrow.”
Thelma said, “No need to wait until tomorrow; since we’ve checked and there are no problems, let’s upload it now.”
Phoenix glanced at her, her eyes filled with admiration, “Decisive! Alright, let’s upload it now.”
Uploading to the music platform was quick; everyone had done their part, and the future results would depend on fate.
After finishing the song, Phoenix glanced at Mira again, her gaze sweeping over her eccentric outfit. Even though she had gotten used to it, every time she saw her attire, it still felt like a visual assault.
“If the song is successful, you’ll become a public figure. Are you planning to maintain this image when you debut?” Phoenix had already been quite tactful in her words to Mira.
Mira shrugged, “I don’t care about appearances, as long as I can become popular.”
Thelma said, “Alright, I’ll contact a stylist for you later, and you can go see them tomorrow.”
With the discussion settled, the three of them returned home, satisfied.
When Thelma got back, everyone was already asleep. The house was dark. As she changed her shoes and prepared to turn on the lights, she heard a click, and the room instantly lit up.
In the quiet of the night, Thelma was undoubtedly startled. She looked up and saw Sam Noah coming down the stairs with a cup in hand.
“Are you still awake?”
“I have a bit left to finish.”
Sam Noah went to pour a glass of water, then took a bowl of deserts from the thermos and placed it on the table before heading back upstairs.
Thelma paused when she saw the bowl of deserts. She had been working overtime frequently, yet it seemed like every time she returned, he was still awake, and there would always be some food left on the table.
Cake, and little cookies for late-night snacks.
Sam Noah told her that those were prepared by Mrs Smith for her.
Thelma ate the cake with a smile at the corners of her mouth. No matter who prepared it, she felt it was him who had done it for her, because thinking that way made her happy.
With the successful preparation of the song, Thelma finally breathed a sigh of relief. During this busy time, she hadn’t forgotten that the day after tomorrow was her precious child’s fourth birthday.
She had already prepared the gift, a small handmade craft she had made herself. Whenever she had free time, she would work on it. Fortunately, amidst all the busyness, she managed to finish the gift for the little one just a day before his birthday.
