Thompson Miguel turned to look at her, nodded, and walked towards the door. As he passed by Moore Nash, they exchanged a glance before he exited.
Moore Nash casually closed the door and began his interrogation.
“Are you dating?”
Moore Audreyshot her head up and glared at him.
“What nonsense are you spouting? Aren’t you afraid of biting your tongue?”
Moore Nash picked up the suitcase by his feet, set it aside, changed his shoes, and walked into the living room, tugging at his tie.
“You have the guts to make a move on someone but not the guts to admit it…”
Moore Audrey exploded, glaring at him fiercely:
“Moore Nash!”
“Hey~ I still prefer to hear you call me brother!”
The man flicked his tie and flopped onto the sofa, lazily teasing her.
Moore Audrey, feeling like a cornered rabbit, grabbed a cushion in front of her and threw it at him.
“Tomorrow, I’ll call Sister Clara and tell her you were out spending money behind her back!”
The man jumped up suddenly, his expression tense.
“Hey~ I was just joking with you!”
Moore Audrey huffed, turning her head away.
Moore Nash, helpless, had to back down first, lowering his head to coax the little girl:
“Alright, alright… I won’t joke with you anymore. And don’t keep telling on me to Clara… Your brother doesn’t want to be lonely forever…”
At this point, the man’s tone paused slightly, and then he looked at her with a hint of interest:
“However, that boy just now seemed pretty good; at least he has the looks!”
Moore Audrey turned her head to glance at him, disdainfully saying:
“Too lazy to deal with you!”
Then she leaned against the sofa, tiptoeing a few steps before plopping down.
Moore Nash noticed her tiptoeing and frowned:
“Are you really hurt?”
Moore Audrey looked at him helplessly.
“Do you think I’m joking with you?”
Saying this, the girl hugged her foot and pondered, frowning:
“Blake’s bandaging is too tight. How am I supposed to take a shower tonight~”
Moore Nash got up and sat beside her, pulling her foot to take a look.
“You want to take a shower when you’re hurt like this?”
Moore Audrey shot him a glance.
“Is that a stupid question? I didn’t bring an umbrella today, and I took a shortcut through that water street in the alley… My shoes are completely soaked, you saw that at the door! Of course, I need to take a shower…”
Moore Nash glared at her. “No way!”
Moore Audrey puffed up in anger: “Then you wash me!”
Moore Nash, thick-skinned: “I’m afraid you’ll be shy. I used to wash you when you were little!”
Moore Audrey glared at him: “…You have such thick skin!”
Moore Nash: “…”
After a few seconds, Moore Audrey added:
“Otherwise… should I wrap my foot in cling film?”
Moore Nash looked at her foot and nodded.
“That could work!”
But in the end, Moore Audrey didn’t wrap her foot. She just had his brother help her take a shower, specifically filling the tub and carrying her to the bathroom.
While carrying her upstairs, he even complained about Moore Audrey:
“Have you gained weight?”
Moore Audrey exploded: “…You’re the one who’s gained weight! I eat less than the little cat at Grandpa’s house every day!”
Moore Nash chuckled:
“Come on… comparing your food intake to a little cat, aren’t you ashamed? The little cat can catch mice… can you?”
Moore Audrey pinched him: “Moore Nash!”
Moore Nash stopped in his tracks, looking at her:
“Let go of my hand, or tomorrow you might really be disabled…”
Moore Audrey: “…” So infuriating, having such a brother!
But after a while, Moore Audrey discovered the benefits, like being able to boss Moore Nash around.
Sitting on the bed, she looked at her older brother eagerly.
“Brother~ I want to drink water…”
Moore Nash glanced at her and went to get it.
Moore Audrey secretly smiled, feeling pleased.
After continuing to boss her older brother around for a bit, Moore Audrey finally felt a bit sorry for him; earning money for her to spend wasn’t easy.
