Seizing the opportunity, Blake immediately began to clean her wound. Although the girl’s foot still reflexively pulled back, the assistance from Thompson Miguel was clearly effective.
Thanks to Moore Audrey’s very ‘obedient’ cooperation and Thompson Miguel’s thoughtful ‘help,’ the bandaging was successfully completed.
Blake, being thorough, even saw them to the door of Moore Audrey’s home.
With her foot bandaged, it was impossible for Moore Audrey to put on her shoes. So, as soon as she got out of the car, she realized a serious problem: how was she going to take a shower tonight?
After saying goodbye to Thompson Miguel, saying she would see him tomorrow, the little girl pondered the issue and turned around. Before she could take a step, her arm was grabbed.
Turning around, she saw the boy still wearing that expressionless face, but his eyes showed a hint of awkwardness:
“Let me walk you back?”
Moore Audrey was taken aback, exclaiming as she saw the boy pointing at her house’s front door.
Moore Audrey paused, looked at him, thought for a moment, and nodded: “Thank you!”
Then she let him support her as they walked forward, entered the gate, opened the door, and stepped into the dark house.
Moore Audrey led Thompson Miguel through the door and into the house. As soon as she opened the door, she told someone inside that she was going to turn on the lights, but then she dismissed that thought. She wasn’t sure if her older brother was home, and if he saw Thompson Miguel, it would be a huge misunderstanding. So she explained her intentions to Thompson Miguel.
Thompson Miguel understood immediately and helped her continue walking inside.
However, it was too dark in the room, and the two of them were close together, making it inevitable that they would bump into each other.
Moore Audrey, not paying attention, suddenly lunged forward, instinctively reaching out to grab the boy beside her.
As expected, while Moore Audrey steadied herself, she heard a crisp tearing sound.
The two of them stared at each other, wide-eyed.
At that moment, there was a sudden loud thud at the door.
They both jumped in surprise and turned to look at the door, their positions unchanged, with Moore Audrey still holding onto Thompson Miguel’s clothes.
Moore Nash’s expression was serious as if facing a great enemy.
From the darkness, he could vaguely make out that one of the figures looked very much like his precious younger sister.
Frowning, the man raised his hand to turn on the light at the entrance. Upon seeing the situation before him, his eyelids twitched.
“What are you two… doing?”
His gaze swept over Thompson Miguel’s face, then shifted to the clothes that his precious sister had tugged at, finally locking eyes with Moore Audrey.
He pondered to himself that his precious little sister seemed a bit fierce…
She was bullying the handsome young man, tsk tsk tsk, even the buttons on his collar had been pulled open, but…
In an instant, the man’s expression turned serious. Were they… dating?
He stiffened his face and cleared his throat twice, bringing the two back to their senses. Moore Audrey immediately stood up straight and withdrew her hand, quickly glancing at the boy’s collar before looking away.
Thompson Miguel seemed a bit pale.
Thompson Miguel, however, remained calm and composed, leisurely starting to straighten his clothes.
It was Moore Audrey who broke the silence first, her tone ingratiating:
“Brother, why did you come back so late?”
Moore Nash shot her a nonchalant glance but said nothing.
Moore Audrey explained, raising her hand to point at Thompson Miguel beside her, saying:
“This is my classmate. I hurt my foot today, and he brought me back!”
She also muttered to herself that if she had known he would come back so late, she wouldn’t have made such a fuss earlier…
Seeing her older brother deep in thought, Moore Audrey quickly patted Thompson Miguel on the shoulder and said straightforwardly:
“Thompson Miguel, you should go home now. Thank you for today!”
