All I Want Is to Hug Her – Chapter 34

Alcohol

Thompson Miguel said nothing, giving her a faint glance as he continued to support her forward.

Moore Audrey had no choice but to let him assist her.

Blake walked ahead, just a few steps away from the two, listening to the sounds behind him, a knowing smile appearing at the corners of his mouth.

He sighed inwardly, thinking, as expected of the young ones… Being young is wonderful, such vitality…

Fortunately, his office wasn’t far away. Plus, he was actually coming from the inpatient department after checking on patients, ready to head home. He never expected to run into the precious daughter of his good friend, his little darling.

Upon reaching the office, Thompson Miguel felt out of place and stood at the door watching.

Blake turned around, leading the girl a bit further inside while joking softly.

He glanced at the tall, handsome boy at the door, teasing her: “Is that your boyfriend?”

Moore Audrey huffed, not pleased:

“Don’t say that; he’s the top student in our grade!”

Blake chuckled, pointing to a chair in the corner, urging Moore Audrey to sit down. She complied and sat on the chair, watching him as he found the supplies and brought them over.

As he tore open a cotton swab packet, he spoke:

“Wow~ You’re quite impressive, just like your dad. Moore Luis really is a tiger father with no dog daughter; he flew up to become a big shot, and his daughter isn’t falling behind…”

Moore Audrey shot him a fierce glare, pretending to be intimidating:

“You talk too much! Be careful, or I’ll tell my dad!”

Blake begged for mercy, asking her to place her foot on the coffee table.

Moore Audrey lifted her foot, looking at the clean coffee table, hesitating:

“Maybe I should just stand; it wouldn’t be right to put my foot on the table, right?”

Blake shot her a look, his face stern:

“Listen to the doctor!”

Moore Audrey had no choice but to take off her shoe and place her foot up.

Blake looked at her swollen wound, then raised his head to look at her, his expression serious as a doctor:

“You really don’t take care of yourself…”

Moore Audrey sheepishly touched her nose, watching as he opened the alcohol.

He pulled out the trash can from under the table and lifted his chin:

“Extend your foot!”

Then he held the bottle, ready to pour it on her foot. Moore Audrey’s eyelids twitched, and she pulled her foot back.

Blake quickly straightened the bottle, looking at her:

“What are you doing?”

Moore Audrey frowned, staring at the alcohol in his hand:

“It’s going to hurt, okay?”

Blake glanced at her foot, his face stern:

“Put it back; just cover your eyes and don’t look!”

Moore Audrey met his gaze, hesitating before raising her hand to cover her eyes. Blake then turned his attention back to her foot, successfully holding it in place. Just as he poured alcohol, Moore Audrey suddenly pulled her foot back.

Blake couldn’t help but hiss, looking up at Moore Audrey, who had released her foot, with a hint of annoyance:

“Do you not want your foot anymore?”

Moore Audrey, still pulling her foot back, looked at him earnestly:

“I swear it was just a reflex!”

Blake stared at her for a few seconds, then suddenly turned his head to look outside the door, calling out:

“Hey, you there, young man, come in and help!”

Moore Audrey almost choked on her saliva, just about to speak when someone entered at the sound.

Blake raised an eyebrow, wearing an expression of “I can’t help you,” pointing at Moore Audrey’s foot and instructing:

“Come over and hold her foot for me!”

Moore Audrey: “…”

Thompson Miguel glanced at her and then squatted down to hold her foot.

A warm sensation spread from her foot, and Moore Audrey suddenly froze, looking down at the boy.

The top student, Thompson Miguel, really was someone worth praising for his looks!
